£25 POUNDER CRUNCH BURGER PRINTS AT RED PROPELLER, by Red Propeller on May 8, 2009 11:44:12 GMT 1, SORRY to all those who missed out last night - due to the massive response the site took a while to update and orders kept coming in after it had sold out - an email has gone out to all the unlucky people who thought they had got it and hadn't - to make up they will be getting priority over the next print release because we know its VERY disappointing when this happens and we don't want to spoil anyones weekend

£25 POUNDER CRUNCH BURGER PRINTS AT RED PROPELLER, by wiz on May 8, 2009 12:34:52 GMT 1, Pleased for those who were successful in getting one, suppose the rest get a fair crack at the next one should they want it but still think its strange that a site cannot update the availability fast enough. Not ruined my weekend at all, would take at least both of my legs and possibly an arm dropping off to do that.

£25 POUNDER CRUNCH BURGER PRINTS AT RED PROPELLER, by rosstierney on May 8, 2009 13:21:15 GMT 1, i'm probably going to sound like a b**ch but giving the people who missed out on this, first dibs on the denning, it's totally unfair
how many genuine denning fans do you think went for the baker realease? not many imo
i'd be surprised if guy was happy with this scenario

£25 POUNDER CRUNCH BURGER PRINTS AT RED PROPELLER, by boatboy on May 8, 2009 14:21:50 GMT 1, That's a good call from red propeller. Show's that galleries actually care about their customer's. Did'nt POW do something like this with a Banksy release not long ago as well.

£25 POUNDER CRUNCH BURGER PRINTS AT RED PROPELLER, by Heavyconsumer on May 8, 2009 14:49:33 GMT 1, We'll see if it's a good call when we know how many make it to Ebay in the coming weeks! I don't think it's that logical a move, when James' and Guy's styles are pretty much poles apart (cue Guy's first ever rainbow coloured print release!!! ;D). I think it's very good of RP to show appreciation of their clients who've missed out. Swings and roundabouts I suppose. And in the gallery's position, other than pulling an impromptue Baker release out the bag (probably the best but maybe an impossible option), they're damned if they do and they're damned if they don't! No hard feelings from me, that £35 is R$125 or so down here and will pay the leccie bill or service charges next month! I'm still very much looking forward to seeing the image. I hope the guys who have first dibs and take it, really enjoy the print.

£25 POUNDER CRUNCH BURGER PRINTS AT RED PROPELLER, by Sacked... on May 8, 2009 17:34:43 GMT 1, So ,if i am a fan of James and was waiting by the computer at 9 to hopefully buy his print and suceeded in buying one ,and as a fan of Guys this means that through no fault of mine i will prob miss out on thurs.i agree with wiz it can't be that difficult for RP to add software to the site to only sell the amount of prints they have.

I own 2 GD originals and can't wait to have the first dibs on the next print having lost out on the James Baker cos I pressed "buy" too late. I've lost out on plenty of Bankys, I'm finally having a little luck!

I'd have to agree with this in the main, I was around at 9am but decided that I didn't like the Baker print enough (money wasn't the issue given the price) and thought I'd leave it to those who would value it more.
Not sure about how I'll feel with the upcoming Denning work as I haven't seen it. We also don't know (I dont think) what numbers this will be in.
What I would say is I've had some nice correspondence with RP and the Ian Francis Amy Allen I have on the wall is the Wife's fav and is going nowhere - ever and I applaud their efforts in getting this across at such a bargain. You can't please all the people all the time.

That's a bit rude and childish innit? Someone rattled your cage Illy?
Sacked is spot on imo. Why should not being quick enough, or the gallery's database not being up to scratch for a popular release, entitle failed buyers of one product to first dibs on an unreleated and entirely dissimilar item? If it were another Baker print I think it would make perfect sense (I think that's what the gallery should have tried to organise personally - a la Miss Bugs TRYHO or NOLA), but as stated above, I don't think this is the most logical course of action. I don't think RP deserve grief over it however, as their intentions are clearly to look after their punters nicely. Why we should need to be at eachother's throats over this is beyond me though.

£25 POUNDER CRUNCH BURGER PRINTS AT RED PROPELLER, by illy on May 9, 2009 8:49:17 GMT 1, For F00ks Sake....those who 'purchased' a print from RP and lost out due to RPs errors are of course entitled to some sort of favour. If you booked tickets to a concert and got there to find out they had overbooked and you were turned away, you'd be wanting some form of compensation.
I thank RP for thier offer as its only right to do so.
Yet again, I realise why I don't frequent this forum consisting of many a$$holes who throw their toys out at any given oppertunity because they didn't get a print. I lost out on a James Baker for £25, but I'm not whinging.... I'm just grateful that I have a Guy Denning on my way.

Dont get me wrong, I think what RP is doing is nice.
But dont you want to see what the Denning looks like before buying? Clearly all Baker fans cant be Denning fans, or have I missed the point?

£25 POUNDER CRUNCH BURGER PRINTS AT RED PROPELLER, by redfred on May 9, 2009 11:56:26 GMT 1, Guys previous print releases have hung about for ages, granted they were not £25 but by no stretch of the imagination could they be classed as expensive so why the histeria over a cheaper print that nobody has even seen? I'me a big Denning fan but just can not get stressed out over an unseen print that I may or may not want on my wall. RP are a great outfit to deal with so just give them a chance!!

£25 POUNDER CRUNCH BURGER PRINTS AT RED PROPELLER, by olapig on May 9, 2009 12:44:11 GMT 1, This is on red propellers web site [glow=red,2,300]Twice as many people bought the print before we could close the page down - we will be refunding anyone who was unlucky first thing tomorrow morning.[/glow] I got one at 2 minutes past so hopefully no refund doming my way!! And Guy Denning next week ;D I like this :-)
If this is the case then there will be very few if not any at all Dennings to be released next week
I agree with some of the others in that it would make sense that those who missed out should be offered something from the artist who they were trying for in the first place.
This aside i think that RP should be applauded for what they are doing.
