Maybe they took offence at some of the comments made by our friends from the US.Lol.
Seriously tho what is ridiculous? They probably are prints that timed out in peoples baskets yesterday. Plus drip feeding them like this only enables fans a chance in actually buying a print. The only person i can see beeing hurt by this is a muppet on Ebay tying for a quick flip

Xenz up on POW, by Existencil on Dec 11, 2008 14:17:39 GMT 1, I was under the impression they could stay in the basket for a limited amount of time. These were sold out for a good few hours yesterday. All night in fact. It just seems strange that they are popping up again.
Mine is already framed...

Xenz up on POW, by frank11 on Dec 11, 2008 14:22:07 GMT 1, I have seen prints reappear on POW that had previously been sold out for months. Never underestimate the back of the "sofa"!
Lovely print tho and bloody massive. Loved it at the open day. Get some photos up mate what sort of frame did you go for?

Xenz up on POW, by Existencil on Dec 11, 2008 14:22:40 GMT 1, I will take some pictures later on and get them up ASAP. I've also got a Bast framed up that I'd like to share.
I know the price is high on the Xenz, but my god it's worth it. It's absolutely huge and is pretty much all handpainted.
I've never seen anything like it.

Xenz up on POW, by chablis on Dec 11, 2008 14:54:06 GMT 1, I am interested to know what peoples thoughts are on the the fact that the smaller edition is just black and white (and more expensive) compared to the coloured edition, which I prefer and had already bought. Not too sure how it justifies being special other than a smaller run as it offers less in my opinion.
It was described as a platinum back ground when I bought it which I think is a better description as it is softer than a silver. What are other peoples thoughts?

The colour one is gorgeous. That should've been the special.

Xenz up on POW, by grt on Dec 11, 2008 16:35:17 GMT 1, With regards to the 1940's comments i see where you are coming from- but when you consider that it spells Xenz then i think that brings it bang up to date and makes it very special- it brings it back to being modern i.e. Graff lettering (of sorts) but done in a very classical style.
I personally think that it is quite clever.
I have bought a black and white one and cant wait to see it- i have the sprnig print which is very colourful so having a b/w one makes it slightly diffferent and with some correct framing (i hope) will make it stunning!
Now i just need to get a Mr Jago then i am all spent up! ha ha!

Xenz up on POW, by fecam on Dec 11, 2008 17:43:04 GMT 1, Hmm, I really didn't like it at first, but it's growing on me....if only it was around the ยฃ150 mark, his last bird prints were only ยฃ60 FFS...
His last prints were the Forster editions of 50 @ ยฃ400 each.
I'm a little surprised to still see these availbale - love the silver edition (and purchased one) - not so keen on the B&W and agree that ยฃ100 extra with no hand finishing doesn't make sense. There are also versions with different background colours (including red) - were these available at the weekend?

There was an issue with changing the Forster prints (longs story that I can't remember now) so they hand finished all of the dyptichs and are selling them for ยฃ500 each. Get them here

You have to be kidding. Tell me about one artist in the recent set of releases that did something different?
The Xenz is phenomenal.
