Ian francis...feeling a bit unloved..., by ikeamonkey on Sept 27, 2008 3:42:28 GMT 1, I think he gets plenty of love. His recent show at Kinsey sold out. Last night went to Laz's show in NYC and his canvas look SICK in person. They were sold during the preview opening yesterday.

Ian francis...feeling a bit unloved..., by Gentle Mental on Sept 27, 2008 4:22:42 GMT 1, the thing i like most about Ian's stuff - is his work is unabashedly, honestly, beautiful. it's hard core beauty. the old-master, old school, kind. the only thing he hides this potentially "uncool" take is he titles them ironically, even so, the irony is quite pretty.
what do you guys like about his work? (let's feel some love!)

Ian francis...feeling a bit unloved..., by veralynn on Sept 27, 2008 16:40:31 GMT 1, Let's have another look at that canvas above - what's not to like, it's in a totally different league.
Just my opinion.

Ian francis...feeling a bit unloved..., by Heavyconsumer on Nov 3, 2008 16:28:58 GMT 1, I have to agree with the concensus. People in here seem very quick to buy weak and average images by Dface and Walker. But this guy's a class act, and is lightyears ahead of those guys in terms of creativity and ability. I've never seen an IF image that looked just like the previous one! Absolute quality and definitely quite under-rated on these boards, where the focus seems to be on buying the most flippable product possible to move on at a profit, over and above getting hold of quality images to put on the wall.
Anyone wanting to shift either Death Star or Piano Player prints, please contact me to discuss swaps! ;D

Ian francis...feeling a bit unloved..., by Harveyn on Nov 3, 2008 16:47:36 GMT 1, I have an Ian Francis "The End" print that I am selling if someone is looking a bargain..... ;D ;D By the way no reflection on Ian's work but this was part of a trade and I would rather have one of his ogs. I think his work is truly beautiful.
