What's your best gig to SHOUT about?, by Drymounted on Dec 29, 2009 23:30:57 GMT 1, I've been to so many great shows of all types. One notable for me was the last Flogging Molly show here in Las Vegas. Hepcat opened and Flogging Molly played for about 2 hours. It was the night I found out that my wife and I were about to become parents!

What's your best gig to SHOUT about?, by Deleted on Dec 30, 2009 2:49:06 GMT 1, Bob Marley @ Crystal Palace The Jam @ The Rainbow The Clash @ The Lyceum Television Personalities @ The Crypt in Deptford The Cure @ ULU Happy Mondays @ The Forum Test Department @ Harrow Road Bus Depot Cocteau Twins @ The Forum Smiths, Redskins @ The Lyceum Jesus and Mary Chain @ the National Durutti Column @ The Electric Screen
I could never pick one but I wish I was 20 years younger again
The list and great memories ....endless
Sometimes the greatest nights were about the people you were with ....the bands were just a soundtrack to growing up in London

What's your best gig to SHOUT about?, by barnsy on Dec 30, 2009 9:57:00 GMT 1, MikeeP - Respect - WOW! thats all I can say! These younger forum members mentioning Kaiser Cheifs and all that just don't realise what they have missed! The Duritti Column are amazing, still going by the way, best album, LC! The Cocteau Twins and the Jam were brilliant, in fact eveyone on your list is a class act! Lucky you!

What's your best gig to SHOUT about?, by Deleted on Dec 30, 2009 12:03:02 GMT 1, Cheers Barnsy. Great times. Can't believe DC are still going. Vini Reilly was always slightly on the edge and I can't imagine his percussionist would still be around !. My one regret about the Cocteaus is that they canceled a gig at the York Hall in Bethnall Green which I still have the ticket for. That would have been something ! Liz Fraser singing in a proper old fashioned Boxing Venue in the East End of London (long before gentrification I might add). Don't get me started ..........

What's your best gig to SHOUT about?, by Deleted on Dec 31, 2009 1:06:27 GMT 1, Cocteau Twins at York Hall that would have been amazing. Love Liz Fraser, seen her a few times with Massive Attack, amazing. I used to live next door to York Hall in the early 1990's when I first moved to London. Bethnal Green still feels like home.
you're getting sentimental.....think its time to come back to London
