Beejoir Oil Cans, by Ruggs on Dec 28, 2009 21:22:55 GMT 1, The gold colour doesn't really show up very well apart from the bottom right print. I'm sure they look fantastic though. I take it they're not gonna send these framed?

they're hung in order so there's two in that photo that are not on the pdf. the third is hiding behind the woman holding the camera.

No, I'm pretty sure it's the 3rd one along by the womans bag. Mine is number 6 I think so not sure they are in order, at least left to right from the top order. Or maybe I've forgotten the can colour I went with.

yeah, you said you got 6/10 so your can is the first on the bottom row hiding behind the man with the glasses. the third one along by the woman's bag is 8/10.

Beejoir Oil Cans, by Ruggs on Dec 28, 2009 22:26:47 GMT 1, Cheers Ross! The pdf pictures are not great at all and don't show the gold up at all. As you say I think they will look great in the flesh.

Beejoir Oil Cans, by Zippy on Dec 28, 2009 22:33:21 GMT 1, well done to all of you that got these. They look great and will be even better when framed and hung. Am I too late to get one of these? Guess so. like the Invader print I missed too. At least I managed to find one quickly. I hope to be able to get some of these too!

e-mail tomoko, i'm sure she'll have no problem with sending you the high-res image of your can if you're having trouble dealing with the wait

Contribute something better to another thread then. I think you've already made it clear you don't like these. Leave it at that.

Beejoir Oil Cans, by mrtibbs on Dec 29, 2009 16:33:47 GMT 1, Everyone is entitled to their own views, good or bad on a piece of art, But there seems to be less members posting negative criticism on a piece, as this could lead to their account being banned. Thus, it makes for a very sterile conversation.

Beejoir Oil Cans, by Ruggs on Dec 29, 2009 17:07:17 GMT 1, Yes, everyone is entitled to their opinions, but only if it has a bit of substance. Just to come on here and say "I wish there was a way to ignore threads, these things are absolutely s**te" is not great criticism. It's just a worthless comment.

Beejoir Oil Cans, by graffalo on Dec 29, 2009 18:30:00 GMT 1, The way to ignore threads is...just ignore them! The title of this one is pretty clear really.
As for the cans, they look ok but not sure what the point of them is really. I guess can variations are a common theme lately so why not beejoir too.

Beejoir Oil Cans, by bert on Dec 29, 2009 20:14:26 GMT 1, I'm not a massive fan of these on an artistic level as it's a pretty lazy concept. I do think it's a clever print though in that it is aimed at the collectomaniacs in this scene who are likely to buy it as the price is reasonable and they like the similar can themes by Banksy/Warhol/Shep/MBW/insert any other 'street artist and this seems to fit.

I thought the same but didn't want to really upset all the Beejoir lovers here. A bit lazy, done before, in the exact same way (different colourways,..) OK, cheap as chips but not much more to it.

These prints are stunning and I love the simplicity of them. I'm a huge Warhol fan so maybe that helps!
Pretty special that there are only 12 of each color.
