I wouldn't put it past him to destroy MBW's reputation before revealing them to be one and the same months later therefore restoring and surpassing previous interest in MBWs work..

i really hope that's not the case

It all begins to make sense now. When I saw that MBW Mondrian print in it's dozen or so color variations I thought this had to be some sort of joke, it's possibly the worst print I have ever seen, and for it's timely release alongside the Banksy film, it all becomes part of a bigger concept.
On looking back on the MBW show last year, all the Banksy humor was there, even a recreated studio installation

The film title "Exit"
does this denote Banksy's final last prank... that his entire career was nothing more than a joke against his art and everything it stands for?
using a fool to unwittingly create a living parody of himself.

this concept was discussed in depth across the road (wk), way back when mbw held that godawful show last year - that show in fact making the perfect ending for the banksy film as was postulated.

I'm of the opinion because this farce that is mbw has continued, that it's unlikely that it's one that mbw realises he's even taking part in anymore

Wonder if the book from back in the day will also surface now?

Fact is there's not really much to say about this yet apart from "How exciting/I'm looking forward to it" combined with a bit a rampant speculation as to what form/angle the film will take.

As you imply above, anyone who does actually know anything probably can't say anything anyway, especially here.

Which is why all you have actually added to this thread is a complaint about people not adding more to the thread, even though it sounds like you are one of the few people who could actually add something factual to the thread should you choose to do so.

Could be a couple of things Joe. I am not sure the location of the thread helps. I say that because I do not use 100 posts. I usually just check the main board. It took me 2 days to find this.

Secondly (and not surprising to me) I new nothing about this event at all whereas a number of people seem to have been pretty clued up for several months. So its been really cool just sitting back and reading each post/update (and not asking stupid questions).

There was a great thread on WK started by Pez and everyday and every night I read each update with great excitement. It took me nearly a week before I felt comfortable adding my own little contribution.

Its always great to see the great man up to mischief on the street and a film is certainly an interesting twist that I look forward to seeing.

Absolutely! Forum lay out is overcomplicated imo. The way it has changed repeatedly has been mildly unsettling at times. For people who don't use the last 100 post feature habitually (like myself), it can take a while to sift through stuff and find these threads. I prefered not having so many separate boards (especially at the top of the home page) and dislike "over-categorizing" everything in this way.
