Black Rat Press Print Show, by pelle on Feb 17, 2008 15:07:01 GMT 1, Hooked up with a friend at Old Street station and he pointed out some of the sights, the micallef street art and I pointed out some others nick walkers, Eine, London Police, invader and others.
I wasn't aware that Micallef had done any street art? Do you (or anyone else here) have any pictures of this?

Black Rat Press Print Show, by yapsey on Feb 17, 2008 15:36:18 GMT 1, Thought I would tell you about my day at the brp print show. Started off with missing my train from Worcester at 9:30, it left dead on time - I got delayed behind a delivery truck outside my house blocking the road - not a good start! Went and got a bacon sandwich a cup of tea and then caught the next train which wasnโt actually too much of wait. Lovely train journey through the countryside down to Paddington. Hooked up with a friend at Old Street station and he pointed out some of the sights, the micallef street art and I pointed out some others nick walkers, Eine, London Police, invader and others. Being from a small town it was really nice to walk round and be just see images that excite me! We got to Farringdon Street at around 2 and looked at the queue, decided it wasnโt that bad so we went and got some coffee and muffins. Went back to the queue for bout 3:30, it hadnโt really grown that much. So settled in for a half an ours fun queuing, met a lovely couple stood behind us, discussed our collections and we a little gutted to see mr small come running past with a cut hand! Doh or so we thought. And then we started to move. It was doors opened dead on 4 and I think we were in the third waive to get in. There was rush and people almost went into another queue immediately! I found this bit bizarre as people seemed to queue up without knowing which print it was and who it was by, after 10 minutes or so and after grabbing a few beers I did join said queue but was still not convinced of the actual print I was going to buy, taking the time in the queue to sum things up, and look at the printing process. Then after queuing for the print most people joined another queue to pay! Craziness!! I just waited until the queue went down, by waiting I mean drinking more beer, talking to matt small and generally enjoying myself! Stayed till about 7 then went and got a tasty burger at The Diner. Then home to Worcestershire, although this involved First Great western cancelling the train and having to get taxi back from oxford. All in all a good day t
a taxi from oxford to worcetser!! - bloody hell; that must have cost an absolute fortune!!

Black Rat Press Print Show, by dkla on Feb 17, 2008 15:44:22 GMT 1, Did somebody take any pics of the Swoon print offering? Other details, like how much was it selling for, etc.? I feel in the dark out here in Chicago!

He agreed to do a very small interview with yomster for saboteur, which i thought was very apt. ;D

Black Rat Press Print Show, by stuey09 on Feb 17, 2008 16:26:25 GMT 1, I think BRP should be applauded for a really friendly and well organised show. Congratuations on a great event.
Well said Frankie.
Only just got back and although knackered, it was worth it. Swoon's work stood out amongst some quality art and the demo was really interesting.
Drunk a huge amount before during and after, so only have vague recollections of the day. Great to meet the usual crowd and cheers in particular to Mammal for the half marathon around the east end in search of a pub. Oi Oi
Don't suppose that these events just happen, they have to be planned, which takes hard work. Well done BRP.

Are we allowed to use the cunt word on here yet?
Took me a while to believe you; shocking result. However, it just underlines that he doesn't have the right aproach to managing the most succesful English club in the history of football.
Good to have a chat yesterday though mate. Keep your mobile on if you end up drawing us in Europe

Black Rat Press Print Show, by retrome on Feb 17, 2008 18:37:55 GMT 1, Well done to BRP for another great show. We got there at 3.30 and finally made it in at about 4.30 nearly frozen to death so respect to those who queued since 8.30am. It was nice to meet like minded people and exchange views on favourite artists etc. Didnt get your names but hope you managed to avoid the wasps score til you got home and got your DFace safely back to Bristol.

Black Rat Press Print Show, by becksaboo on Feb 17, 2008 22:16:07 GMT 1, Hey printsonline, it was us u were chatting to! sorry first great western botched up again- don't even get me started on how crap they are, i have it daily. we wanted to get an earlier train back and they were gonna make us pay an extra ยฃ60! bloody rip off. I hope to see a pic of ur dface framed- in the spare room of course!
Anyway, was lovely talking to you both, have to email ur pics to us, looks like you got some good ones- well you took enough!
Re the show, was a good un but i thought the whole point of it was to look at the art and not stand in a queue without seeing what you were buying. So that was a bit depressing seeing that. Great to see some of the other artists there as well, saw kennard and a couple of others.
Didn't get any prints as they didn't appeal to me but made the trip to see matt small so hats off to him for carrying on. I loved his work before but now I appreciate it even more.

Black Rat Press Print Show, by finsburyparkranger on Feb 17, 2008 23:22:49 GMT 1, Ah. I switch off when I see "being released online", have never ever once been successful with any of these instsant sold out releases.
The tout software is creating lots of stories about people picking up more than ten prints a time. Pow and others really need to sort their security out if the rumors are true.
