Hard Pressed Studios, by Baurmann Gallery on Sept 10, 2008 2:47:55 GMT 1, Hard Pressed Studios (our printers for all MEAR ONE editions from the Baurmann Gallery and who are also extremely talented artists as well) have been EXTREMELY active in their preparations and activity for some big events. They have been working on a ton of projects non-stop. A new poster also was just added to their site as well for sale. John Carr just did a new print, โNO MOREโ which has 50% of the proceeds benefiting the โIraq Veterans Against the War organization.

In solidarity with American military personnel who oppose the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. 50% of sales to benefit Iraq Veterans Against the War.
"NO MORE" Gritty 3 color screenprint on 100 lb. cover weight, white recycled paper. Signed, open edition. 26"x 20"
As soon as they get back in town, the new photos will be uploaded and posted. Basically, they did posters for The Democratic National Convention, Burning Ban and the Electric Picnic Festival in Ireland. Here are a ton of pictures of their work in progress. In Ireland, John Carr was planning on putting up 140 of wall murals (all pasted up posters and oversize blowups and cutouts). Alex and Andi (aka Contra & Xoch) went to the DNC and connected with Favianna Rodriguez and numerous other artists. At burning man, they plan on distributing over 1000 posters. Though there are a ton of photos to be posted, they have been working on so many different projects that this is just a small sample of everything they have been producing. There will also be some upcoming editions from the photos, but I am sure even more pics from the streets will be posted up as well.
