Peach properties commission, photos + competition, by Oliver Winconek on Nov 28, 2009 16:51:10 GMT 1, Hi all, as some of you will know I was commissioned by Peach Properties; the estate agents on Bethnal Green Road in Shorditch to re-paint the complete exterior of their building. It's a pretty iconic building and is best known for the work that Cable Street did on it a year ago (See Below)
Cable Street's artwork
I have finished my piece now, below are some work in progress shots and some pics of the finished work.
I am keen to produce a postcard of the finished artwork on the building and thats where you guys come in, with so many people documenting the street/urban art scene I thought it would be a good idea to give people the chance to see what they could come up with. I am after a photo to use on the postcard, it can be a straight, well taken shot or something a bit more abstract and arty. The photographer whos photo that I choose to use for the postcard I will in return paint them something around 40x40cm as a thank you.
Please note this is open to anyone, not just photographers so get snapping! Photos can be sent to mail@oliver-winconek.co.uk and you have my guarantee they will not be used for promo purposes unless permission is given or they are chosen for the postcard.
Peach Properties can be found at 53 Bethnal Green Rd London, E1 6LA
Work in Progress....
Look forward to hearing from you all
Oliver

Peach properties commission, photos + competition, by Oliver Winconek on Nov 28, 2009 23:39:06 GMT 1, Took 4 days, working 12 hour days, 7am - 7/8pm. Was pretty tough dodging the weather, cold and the impending darkness but it certainly kept me on my toes! Hope they dont put perspex on it, would be a real shame, hope the taggers respect all the sheer hard work that went in to it

Peach properties commission, photos + competition, by Coach on Nov 29, 2009 0:42:30 GMT 1, Oliver - have only ever seen your pieces off street before. These new pieces look fantastic - love the one with the girls face and three peaches. Great work mate!

Peach properties commission, photos + competition, by Oliver Winconek on Nov 29, 2009 1:02:21 GMT 1, Cheers Coach I have to admit that as much as I love doing work 'on the street', because of the complexity and scale of the work I don't get to do much, usually limited to legal walls and commissions but I just love the new challenge it presents, especially in this case; working around windows, doors and all the other contours of a building without it distorting the faces was great fun

Well you pulled it off buddy!! Looks superb. Great contrast between the classic style of the painting of the fruit and the street/urban (never know the correct terminology!) style of the figures - works really well imo. c
