They seem like a mix between Ethos, WTM and Case, but with a touch of originality to it.

"are two like-minded graffiti writers who hail from the south coast of England and began painting together in late 2008.
Their disjointed figurative paintings mix intricate aerosol photorealism and traditional painterly techniques.
They draw their inspiration from the uglier things in life, disease, death, symmetry, the exact size of everything, cycles, memory, maths, science, mental disorders and the fragility of the human body."

Why is symmetry classed as ugly? Its was the golden rule for both the northern and southern Renascence. Interesting concepts though, much prefer to see art works that encompass and embrace the full richness of life rather than works that lean only towards the niceties

Great pieces! Pieces 3 and 4 are great. I can see Herakut as well, especially the first and last pieces.

Subject matters, compositions, even their choice of colours seems to be different.

Agree subject matter and composition is different, but can understand those who feel the herakut influence when looking at these pieces... the photorealism mixed with body sketches and abstract backgrounds made herakut canvases stand out to me - and is evident in these pieces.
In any event, still loving these works - Natural Order of things is well executed! Anyone considering a purchase??

BEST | EVER , by urbanangel on May 20, 2009 1:17:42 GMT 1, Natural Order is sold and two others reserved until tomorrow.
BEST | EVER are huge fans of Herakut...i mean BIG fans. They are certainly an influence, although i would say by their much earlier work. I think Herakuts newer work has changed so much now, that other than the photorealism, there isn't much to compare.
Great guys too...very humble and there's a massive buzz around them, which i can honestly say isn't hype BS either:)

this is a blatant rip off of herakut.

rip off is a bit harsh, saying that i thought it was by Hera when i first seen them. good luck with the sale

It means a lot of people like their work without buying it. Whereas hype means a lot of people buy their work, because others are...that's all.

BEST | EVER , by urbanangel on May 20, 2009 1:52:53 GMT 1, I think their style is more in line with this type of Herakut, which is a good few years old now. I prefer their older style, but that's just me. A lot of people prefer their newer style. I think they have similarities to Word to Mother too. I don't really see the Case connection at all though.

I think the progression of herakut has been amazing, imitation is the greatest form of flattery

Wouldn't call this a blatant rip off either. To an untamed eye, I can understand someone thinking a b|e is a Herakut. That same person would probably also confuse Armsrock and Swoon, Logan Hicks and Kenji Nakayama. Shoot, I'll even go as far as saying Banksy and Dolk! Should some of these mentioned be considered rip offs also? Honestly, to me, I don't see any difference in stencil artists besides the subject matter and meaning behind the images. Style-wise they all look the same to me.
If you like the image and it draws you, it shouldn't matter who the artist is. But hey, what do I know? I should put my money where my mouth is and buy a b|e to go with my Herakut! Hrmm..
