STATIC’s first London solo show will open in the artrepublic Soho space from the 28th of May and run until the 18th of June.
We invite you to re-evaluate your perception of the society we are part of, and the hypocrisy that surrounds us on a day to day basis.
artrepublic Soho have given STATIC free reign to utilise their two-floor gallery space on New Compton Street, Central London; the show will be split into two main themes.
The 'Fight for the Right' series upholds their satirical approach to history by focusing on the eternal struggle of society to be seen and heard when confronted with social, political and economic injustice. Raising a wry smile as well as a few question marks.
The 'Luxury Vandals' collection explores the idea of street art’s desirability and commercialisation within the consumer market context. Including beautifully crafted leather cased aerosol cans and glass caskets containing STATIC's personal collection of hand painted spent cans. The mix of fine art and street style has never looked so good.

The news is out! We've been locked in the studio for the past couple of months working away and we're into the final 2 weeks before our 1st London solo show opens on Thursday 27th May!
There's still a lot of work to do before the opening, but in the mean time we've updated our website with a fresh new look and a couple of teaser pics that will give you a glimpse of what we've been working on...
As you can see from the above, the location is artrepublic's Soho space which we'll be taking over next week, after discovering their plans to renovate the space at the end of June and turn it into a gallery / exhibition space.
It was while working on the Knot Violence statues that we heard about a planned renovation of the gallery, so we thought we'd get in first and give it a makeover that will be a far cry from the white walled space people might be expecting.
As always any questions or for more info just ask.
The gallery is just 2 mins walk from Tottenham Court Road tube station and the private view will open at 6.30 pm

yep got that right , more images to follow, just getting their 3 layers of varnish done
otto71 good to hear you are looking forward to the new stuff, not long now... the carousel is in flash but hopefully got the covered with the thumbnails along the bottom, which should still be viewable

All the work is now finished, we are just working on the PDF and need to start getting ready for when we take over the gallery space on Sunday..
