Kozyndan said "People don't know what the secret ingredient is and they don't really care. All they know is this is the best sushi in town! That is the tag line that pops up in our minds when we think about this piece. Its actually comes from a rather despairing feeling we have knowing that people are literally eating fish species to extinction, particularly blue fin tuna specifically because people have taken to consuming huge quantities of sushi. We are never ones to 'HIT' people over the head about some issue though, so this idea of a sushi bar with fish men masked as humans serving raw human to rabid human customers came about. It is the 17th in our series of panoramic artworks. We will be debuting the new panoramic at a solo show at Nelly Duff, London on Thursday June 3rd."
two metres of fun...so for the purposes of viewing on the web you'll have to turn your head to the side as there isn't a screen long enough to view this panoramic..

Can't wait for this show....have loved Kozyndan's work since discovering them on the Postal Service's record sleeves along with the top image 'uprising'.
Will be interesting to see what they come up with although if they are all 2m panoramics I doubt Nelly Duff will be able to show that many ;D

Still, a warm summers evening (hopefully), great artwork (definitely), sickly sweet Swedish cider (regretfully)...all the trademarks of a great night

As far as I'm aware they've only done these and the ones released at Paper Monster. These ones are pretty sweet and a nice small size too.

You can purchase the newly released silkscreen edition of "Uprisings" NOW at Giant Robot.
It is a seriograph edition of 200 signed an numbered silkscreen prints. 5 metallic colors on Coventry Rag Vellum 320 gm/wt paper. The final paper size is 37 x 28 inches. Each print comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. The edition was produced by Modern Multiples in Los Angeles.
This is the first, and most likely the only, time we will offer "Uprisings" as silkscreen print so pick one up if you are interested! Part of the proceeds from prints purchased through Giant Robot's store this month will go to UNICEF's relief efforts for child victims of Japan's tsunami.
