New Banksy street pieces?, by walshy on Sept 16, 2010 13:50:33 GMT 1, I would imagine B is fed up with folks trashing his street pieces as soon as they are discovered, hence him and the people around him being a bit more circumspect about the exact locations of these recent pieces.
So why the blatant landmark in the last bird piece posted on his site ?

New Banksy street pieces?, by Nico on Sept 17, 2010 7:48:43 GMT 1, I was walking the other day in London and a guy was coming out of his garage with paintings, all with the signature "Team Robbo"...so I went and asked "Are you Robbo?"...and yes that was him, preparing a show at the Pure Evil Gallery. Oh the irony!

New Banksy street pieces?, by naughtyshorty on Sept 17, 2010 10:48:50 GMT 1, back to the art tho... personally, i dont really like them, and im not convinced that they are Mr B. Im a bit of a cynic though anyway...
I love you seems a bit too simple, and i dont like the pixilated heart, and I think the granny and girl image are a bit too simple and "easy". ie there is nothing clever or intelligently ironice about them like a stop and search.
new images always make me think about how many people out there could just copy a banksy type image or writing, and post a pic saying "new banksy discovered!"..

Interesting. I wonder why? It didn't seem to sho anything untoward.

WOW! That is shocking. What was the reason?

New Banksy street pieces?, by naughtyshorty on Sept 17, 2010 14:46:33 GMT 1, Fragile, not doubting what you are saying, but that doesnt make any sense to me either. since when have pest control been asking people to take down images of anything? and why would they ask just you to take them down - surely once the pictures are on the internet they are everybodies, and those pics are still up on other sites..
for me, its not a banksy until its on his website, or in one of his books, or he makes a print out of it...

I have been asked twice now by Pest Control to remove photos that they own the copyright for. I'm not the only person they have asked, I'm just the only one who has spoken out about it. I find it all very disappointing.
What photos were they? Maybe tell me via pm

He is in the Dietch 2011 show so no. Shame he hasnt been a bit more topical though, the whole pope thing was there to be done and NW seems to have done the best job on that so far.
Really dont get PC getting all funny about images on flickr. Maybe they are going in a calender for HMV or something like that ..
