Oliver Winconek - new commissioned wall piece, by Oliver Winconek on Apr 9, 2010 21:51:50 GMT 1, I was commissioned by SEEDA and Ashford borough council to paint one of the feature walls at International house in Ashford, Kent.
The choice of design was completely down to me so it was nice to be given complete creative freedom, typically on a project like this you end up with some nob in a suit putting forward their creative input!
Each piece is approx 3 mtrs tall, 5mtrs wide. I used Emulsion for this as it would have been impossible to spray in the bad weather
All feedback welcome,
Oliver

Cheers Silky, wanted to do something that worked in harmony with the building as well as having a fresh look to it. I think the green was the key colour, it's been good watching the reactions of the office workers as the enter the building and see it

Thanks Robin, I'm experimenting a lot using a muted colour palette lately, enjoying using lots of subtle variations of greys. It's amazing, just using a hint of warmth or coolness in a grey can completely shift the mood of a painting
