New Sam3 Woodcuts, by saint on Oct 19, 2010 15:51:30 GMT 1, Paper Monster is excited to announce a new xylography series by Sam3 to be released on the site today, Tuesday October 19th at noon here in NYC. We will release one new image in a range of color-ways from a subtle black on black, to more poppy green on lime green and red on orange. Each color-way is a limited edition of 7 and will be up on the site at noon here. In other news, we are happy to announce two new artists we have been working with this past year, Megan Whitmarsh and Tomokazu Matuyama, will be releasing new prints through the site before the end of 2010. And while on the topic of new prints, we have just finished up a great project with Swoon that we will be releasing next month, stay tuned to the blog for updates and a sneak peek of a few of the new pieces at the end of the week. Regards, Paper Monster

New Sam3 Woodcuts, by Deleted on Oct 19, 2010 16:57:48 GMT 1, Origo kindly sent me a link where I could buy an AP of Sisifo, as I liked that image, priced at 250 Euro, when I enquired someone removed the link and then advised me that I could buy one but for 500 Euro....hmmmmm....nice.

He wants โฌ500 for an AP of Sisifo now. It was only an edition of 7 so I wonder how many AP's there actually are

New Sam3 Woodcuts, by Deleted on Oct 19, 2010 18:31:36 GMT 1, Must admit, I wondered how many AP's there are given small edition size too.
What grated with me was that they were advertised for Euro 250 and revised upwards significantly when I expressed an interest.
Seems reception to these new works is lukewarm - I prefer the Black on Black personally and in the flesh is probably quite accomplished. I'm out though purely on being bitter and twisted.
