fuming of sw4, by love on Jan 13, 2011 23:57:50 GMT 1, I have found a good 50% of the verbal 'law binding contract' (ha ha, that made me laugh) agreements on here don't mean s**t, how many times have people on here agreed a sale only for the buyer to back out with a severe case of rickets? I call bulls**t on the lot of you.. and honestly daniel3886 you should be more imaginative than buying your wife this for her birthday.
Spence?

What an informed post.
By default then, you find the other 50% 'of the verbal law binding contract ( ) DO mean shit.
Try this and maybe learn something:

fuming of sw4, by daniel3886 on Jan 14, 2011 9:45:55 GMT 1, what if its not a verbal agreement its a written agreement ie via pm "its a done deal "
i already have a DD on the wall but thanks for the pointers and i'm open to ideas on the present front??
cheers doris i thought getting her something she would really like would be a good starting point.
cockateau - i told him i would pick it up the next day with the cash we spoke via text he had my number in hindsight i should have got his bank details and put a deposit in but i didn't for one minute think he's sell it to someone else

fuming of sw4, by Neate Michael on Jan 14, 2011 14:21:19 GMT 1, Years ago when Stop and Search came out, I bagged one from the mini site POW did for the Xmas Ghetto. My ex really wanted a Calm Fear, I tried to arrange a straight swap, but that fell through, and so then I sold Stop and Search via the board. I was the last to sell it, and the madness had died down, and I got about 1.2k for it... The buyer then could not pick it up till the next week, and in the meantime there was some auction and a Stop and Search went for 2.8k, and then lots more went on the board for well over 2k...
I was so tempted to stop the sale, and say i could not go ahead, especially as I had to dip into my own pocket for the calm fear... But I didn't... My word is my bond as they say, and besides I thought about karma, and do tend to believe that what goes around comes around...
I really do feel sorry for the guy who was the buyer, I didn't do the same, but for some people it is all about the money.
And now, Calm Fear sits in my brother's house, and is worth far less than I bought it for, and to ship it to Sweden would cost a bloody fortune!

fuming of sw4, by redfred on Jan 14, 2011 15:53:23 GMT 1, About 5 years ago I got into the Banksy scene and bought my first Banksy off e-bay just as prices were starting to rise, I paid ยฃ400 for a signed CND but asked the seller to hang onto it is I was going away for a month and would e-mail him on my return. When I returned I e-mailed the seller to arrange delivery then had a look on E-Bay, I was shocked to find that CND was now going for ยฃ800-ยฃ1000, double in a month, I half expected to hear from the seller saying that some terrible 'accident' had happened to the print but it arrived a few days later! Now occasionaly when I look at it I am reminded that there are decent people out there and that means more than a few quid! I have also promised mysef that if I ever do sell it I will send this guy a decent 'drink' for just being an honourable chap, something you just can't buy!

A great story. Glad to see there are "some" decent people left in this world. (and on this thread) What goes around comes around!
