"Happy new year gremlins. Been having some WordPress problems that have finally been sorted so my blogging powers have been returned. 2010 was the busiest, craziest year ever for me. Amongst other things I had 2 solo shows, 4 screen print releases including one in 32 colours and one that sold out in 8 minutes and one amazing painting trip to The Gambia as the Curator of the 1st Wide Open Walls project.
I made the odd mistake here and there but learned a hell of a lot as a result. Not just about the art business but about myself, about other people, about what I want and what I need to do to get it. I met some amazing people, made some great friends and made a lot of work that Iโm really proud of.
And so, after a pretty non-stop year of stencil madness, 2011 will see me take a little step back from so much stencil work under the name Eelus, and put most of my energy into starting up my new venture, Freak Show Projects, under my real and less ambiguous name, Lee Pennington.
Through Freak Show Projects Iโll be putting myself on a new path of discovery and learning as I attempt to establish myself not just as a freelance illustrator, but as a publisher, a writer and a creator of nice and affordable โstuffโ that will be available to buy in my online store.
Iโll be moving towards a style that will hopefully be quite far visually from what Iโve become known for, and into a brand new industry that Iโve always had a real passion for but never had the guts to approachโฆuntil now.
So if youโd like to follow me on this journey, Iโll be sharing all my new work, experiences, thoughts, ideas, highs and lows in the usual way here at my blog.
Massive thanks to everyone who supported me through 2010, I wouldnโt be here doing this if it wasnโt for you".

What will this mean for the prints and originals.. increase in value? I hope so.. he deserves to be noticed alot more! great work. great guy!!

I do LOVE his stencil work tho and his early prints are all in my opinion great..
