Sohoho: If thine eyes offend thee pluck them out! Or go to thread that says Eine#s next show because you wont find anything about that on a thread that says "New Nai Piece"

OK, cool thanks for the link. It seems like a step back to the bad old days. But I'm not in charge.

New Nai piece, by stringer64 on Mar 15, 2011 23:14:37 GMT 1, Having only been a member since last November, i cannot really say that I remember the good old days Ali, but I do feel that there is a lot of negativity out there from people who don't really do much themselves. I would like to see some of the work from these people to see how good they are. I own one of Eelus's first OG's which I really like, but if I put it on here and said it was by Nai I am sure the same people would rip it.
Anyway, he's laughing his head off just now. In the last day the number of people reading this thread has trippled and, to be honest at least he is not sitting on a computer playing around with photoshop and a pic of a kids face: he is using paint and brushes and stencils and he is trying to produce something artistic.
Sohoho, I read your post about the POW print of the kids face (Bastardising or something like that). It was nice to see you being constructive for a change. But something inside me questions why you give that piece credibility and not the recent work by Nai? perhaps its because that has the backing of POW and Nai is still in his room, without a graphic design background and working with the basics.

New Nai piece, by spencerlee on Mar 16, 2011 8:06:17 GMT 1, This whole thing about. 'You aren't alllowed to comment unless you post your own work' is bullshit. Have you ever watched a film? Yes I am guessing. Have you ever said 'That wasn't very good?' Yes I am guessing.
Nobody says you have to attend film school and release a film in order to comment so why this bullshit about commenting on art?
As soon as people put their art into the public domain...and start asking people to pay for it, they are going to get comments. As I have said before. If comments are negative and it upsets them, keep it in the bedroom FFS. All this obsession about constructive criticism confuses me as well. Some of the time there is only one thing to be said. 'Be better'

New Nai piece, by spencerlee on Mar 16, 2011 8:08:09 GMT 1, Oh, and my post isn't directly strictly at Nai. You know fair play to him for doing something. It's just the whole 'no negativity' mantra I am talking about.

New Nai piece, by stringer64 on Mar 17, 2011 8:04:04 GMT 1, That is a fair point Spencerlee. I accept that people have the right to say if they really don't like something. I suppose that it was just the way one or two comments were made. I am sure that Nai does need to improve and "Be better" and there are other new artists who already have ideas and skills which far outshine his.

New Nai piece, by stringer64 on Mar 22, 2011 14:41:16 GMT 1, Thanks for the posts everyone. Especially Me7777, whose observation I think I agree with, Dellboy, whose advice has been passed on, and ilmambo whose observation led to me contacting a French lecturer I know. Apparently traditionally in French, you lose the accent if the letter is a capital one, although these days you can keep it if you want.

New Nai piece, by balibob on Mar 22, 2011 17:09:07 GMT 1, I've never met a Frenchman who's lost his accent...lol. On a serious note, perhaps his work wouldn't attract so much stick if he stopped using phrases like "i'm the next big thing etc" on his ebay listings. A lot of guys sitting here with loaded guns waiting for a target and boy he's out there with the roundals painted on his back. Aim well boys !!!
