Your latest Art Purchase?, by junta on Sept 20, 2009 22:30:48 GMT 1, none of these are strictly buys, but I'll share all the same.
A gift from a friend who visited the Imperial War Museum in London. Not really "art" but I put it in a clipframe soo...
these were a gift from silentbill, which was an astonishing display of generosity and good faith. (explaination underneath the 1st one reads "The RFID tracking device attached to the notes allows the UK Government to know the exact location of each monetary note. Firstly, this allows MI9 to monitor the monetary exchange and activity of individuals; secondly, it determines the exact monetary amount in circulation at any one point in time; in readiness to exercise more quantitative easing. During the 2017 Energy Supply Crisis and the Western Civilisation Resource War households from relatively deprived of areas of the UK resorted to burning bank notes to keep warm, resulting in the exact amount in circulation being unknown. This resulted in the addition of the RFID tagging to the UK bank notes, which resulted in the Three Week Civil Liberties Riots of 2017 in which the overwhelmed UK Government resorted to martial law and called upon the help of the USAโs FEMA MK2 programme. The RFID hologram also has a tamper evident pattern of โVOIDโ when removed from the note, this was later implemented when it was exposed that a ring of corrupt politicians were committing massive expenses fraud using notes that couldnโt be traced. The exact amount of fraud was never uncovered and no politicians were ever charged with any fraudulent activity. The barcode on the note notifies the recipientโs computer of the exact monetary value. Since the notes devalue rapidly, shops eliminated individual pricing of items; therefore the barcode tracks the price at that minuteโs exact rate of inflation. This was implemented after Chinaโs debasement of sterling which saw eight 100 billion dollar notes being needed within a 2 minute time span for items that a one 100 billion note would have sufficed two minutes prior.")
and another flash from his twisted warnings of the impending econocalypse
finally I actually got round to framing one of my proofs for myself, wanted to show off my deckled edges . Here it is on the trial wall (where most pieces go before finding their permanent home!)

EC it goes without saying your ETs are magnificent and the Hardgrave is not to bad either.

Your latest Art Purchase?, by Martin DK on Sept 22, 2009 11:28:19 GMT 1, Thanks guys - the frames are from eframe.co.uk, so really cheap. I just change the glass on the Denning and Pava to non-reflective glass.
The Pava is really special to me, love that one!

I was also looking to use E Frames as they seem to be fairly good prices, as im a poor chap at the mo.

Your latest Art Purchase?, by Wearology on Sept 22, 2009 22:39:28 GMT 1, Thanks guys for the kind words - I have been doing a bit or research on "rico" and his work has a nice history and has appreciated a bit from the $100 my grannie paid for it over 50 years ago. I will need to find a safer spot for it than on top of a light switch next to the fireplace.
