GRAFFITI artist Banksy could be at a ‘paint jam’ organised by South Devon artists.

The secretive stencil street artist is a possible guest at the Street Art Jam which is taking place at Paignton’s Lighthouse Music Hub on Saturday, October 9 from 10am until late.

Mark Wilkins, the chairman of Devon Music Collective, which has given the artists permission to paint he inside and outside of the seafront building said: “It is all about giving people the opportunity to see some of the best graffiti artists in the UK and Europe at work and take part in some workshops too.

“It is a massive event, it is the biggest we have done and all of the artists have come to help us and help raise money for us.”

Artists are already donating their work to be raffled off during the paint jam.

“There will be everything from traditional street graffiti, stencil artists, fine artists right through to body painters. Banksy’s crew are coming down, so is his girlfriend and so the world famous graffiti artist might make an appearance himself,” said Mark.

Entrance to the event costs £5 and includes access to the building and artists, as well as entry to the music that is due to go on till late in the night.
