Becca is Back!!! , by snausages on Jul 18, 2009 5:25:00 GMT 1, Please. No way a "naive" intern is responsible for this. Nobody here is foolish enough to buy this.
It's great that you are finally willing to settle old debts, hopefully. But you're just losing more respect by going on with this. Just admit that you or someone directed by you posted up this artist as you stand to gain from it and you'll at least have a shred of dignity.

Becca is Back!!! , by jam on Jul 18, 2009 6:31:34 GMT 1, Could someone explain to me how Daniel Lahoda aka Lahoda Fine Arts, LLC. aka Jet Set Graffiti still operates a business related to art? How is it even possible, when there are threads all over the internet that talk about all the lies, cons (such as this viral marketing attempt by an "intern"), art purchased but never sent, broken promises, etc.
There should be an active campaign to post threads on every art related forum to warn people about him...

Becca is Back!!! , by Guest on Jul 22, 2009 20:50:38 GMT 1, This is a copy of a PM that was just sent to Silky from Jetset Graffiti, posted here publicly for the edification of the entire community:
Silky,
I wanted to give you an update as to the 2 customer service issues as brought up on the "Becca" thread...
I have been in touch with both parties, Big Willy, and Curious George in regards to their complaints.
It turns out that Curious George, AKA XXX XXXXX didn't receive a COA for his Camo Clown Boy print. The reason for this is that he came to my hotel last summer when I was in London with Ron English, paid cash, and I never got his contact information for where to send the COA. He replied, I now have his address, and am sending the COA directly today... Apparently, a slight mis-communication that has been cleared up. I'm sure you can understand that this is the fault of noone in particular.
The other client, "Big Willy" has sent me a return message stating that she never got the Camo-Clown Boy print and wants a full refund. She said her name was Ms. TrXXX HXXXX. Giving a refund is absolutely fine with me; the problem is that I have no record of any contact with a Ms. TXXXX HXXXX at all. I spent an hour on the phone with Paypal as we scoured our records of every single transaction that has ever occurred on my account and can't find any record of the name, TXXXX HXXXX. I've asked Ms. HXXXX to forward her email address or transaction number so that I can issue the refund and give her an additional limited edition print for free to help ease her troubles.
I hope you find this effort to resolve these complaints satisfactory. Please, let's give it a few more days until I can resolve the complaint from 'Big Willy', AKA Ms. HXXXX.
I will now post this update on the Becca thread for the community so they can see that I am trying to resolve the complaint. I will not post any personal information on the public thread.
If you could please give me a call, or send me an email to discuss the bigger picture issue here, it would be much appreciated. I would like to discuss a proposal that I have in mind of either donating a $2,500 Hand Touched Camo-Clown Boy HPM from my personal collection to the site to be auctioned off to benefit the forum, or simply having people subscribe to a thread for a drawing to give the print to a member chosen at random by either you, or a mutually trusted artist... Please let me know if you think this offering can help correct my tarnished reputation on this forum and we can certainly make it happen.
Regards, Daniel Lahoda Lahoda Fine Arts, LLC.

But in the interests of facts, it was the promised "production notes and dvd" as well as the COA. Then left many emails with my details to the same address i used to discuss collecting at the hotel. So the real reason is that you ignored me, I was not alone with this either
Big Willy is not really WOW
Were our private details edited from the pm's you sent Silky by the way??

The COA and production notes were all sent out about a month after people received their prints. This was done intentionally and after discussions with the artist, so you all wouldn't be able to flip them for immediate profit, considering the edition sold out quicker than expected. Regardless, as I said in the PM, I'm glad we finally got this squared away. I just sent out your COA and production binder. You should be getting the materials in about a week or so... Just docs. so no customs to pay on your end.
Still waiting to hear back from "Ms. Big Willy" with contact information so we can straighten her out.

Becca is Back!!! , by bigwilly on Jul 22, 2009 22:57:06 GMT 1, apparently my husband did he receive his print and I apologize for the mix-up...I used his email addy to pay for the print which was delivered to his office... Hence I never saw the print as its in his flatfile....We share this account from time to time and when I saw this thread I saw fire in my eyes...because I thought my husband (bigwilly) never received his print? Again I apologize and I have no beef with jetset...

Regarding the Hand Touched Camo-Clown Boy donation/giveaway I dont think really I can be involved. Your welcome to do whatever you like in giving it away in some form to a forum member, but I cant be involved in the organization of that.
Sorry.

Thank you for owning up to your error "Ms. Big Willy". It is certainly appreciated... We'll just leave it at that, for now... I almost feel bad, as I was ready to give you $1125 back AND a Shepard Fairey piece...
So, there you have it folks. Wrongly accused...
Ms. Big Willy, one more thing; would you mind editing your original comments please? Clearly I am not a "top notch douche nozzle". Also, that was quite the language coming from a lady. I've never heard a lady use those words as long as I've been alive...

Thanks Silky. I'm glad that I've been vindicated from any wrong doing once again.
I would very much like to continue to be a part of the forum. I intend to move forward with the idea of giving a member a free Camo-Clown Boy print... If you don't mind, I will go ahead and make a new thread where people can sign up to be a part of the giveaway contest.

Becca is Back!!! , by Guest on Jul 22, 2009 23:53:32 GMT 1, Here's a video about Becca:
From Juxtapoz Magazine, Jan/Feb 1999. Issue No. 18- by Hope Urban
"From the littered streets of Hollywood to the whitewashed walls of its hotspot galleries and cultural institutions, the reclusive artist known to a nation of enchanted spectators simply as "Becca" has brought her tale of urban alienation and sly humor to life in the form of her innocent little girls and elegant ladies."
Since that article was written, Becca has gone on to develop herself quite well in the art world, collected by such lumniaries as Lenoardo Dicaprio, and Norman Reedus, and enjoying notoriety among fine art cognoscenti, including Aileen Getty and is a part of The Sender Collection; her work sitting next to some of the greatest heavyweights to ever find their way through the high art world...
Nowadays, the trendiness of street art has escaped her career, despite her intense efforts to capture the public eye. In this video, we introduce becca to our viewers, and encourage them to learn more. 2 New fine art print releases accompany her newest solo show at White Walls gallery in San Francisco.

Becca is Back!!! , by Karl Read on Jul 23, 2009 8:48:49 GMT 1, The fact that Jet Set was ready to give bigwilly $1125 back AND a Shepard Fairey piece when he already sent the print to them, just goes to show on the rare chance Jet set are'nt fraudsters, they have'nt got a clue whats going on with their business and that surely has got to be raising alarm bells for anyone purchasing anything from them. I certainly wont be. Over all art forums there is just to much neggative feedback and there is no smoke without fire.

From what I know about how ponzi schemes work, this sounds like bits of one to me. I'm sure Jet Set is happy to give a couple grand in prints or cash away to quell rumblings of the loudest people with issues. This way, their future offerings continue to sell briskly and keep generating revenue.
TOO many comments or issues with buyers on this and other art forums for there not to be substance to the claims and issues brought up. I certainly wont be buying anything from them... and anyone who does has been given all the info they should need to draw the same conclusion. If you still choose to buy from Jet Set in the future, just remember the old saying: "A fool and his money are soon parted".

Yes, I was ready to provide a refund and a free gift IF there was any merit to their claim that I never delivered the artwork with an email address OR a valid order number. Considering that was not the case, nothing was delivered.
If anything this indicates the opposite of what you are saying. Your logic just doesn't make sense. I don't understand why you would want to continue to detract from an honest man's business. Please be mindful of the truth and the effects your words have on others. Thanks.

Becca is Back!!! , by Guest on Jul 23, 2009 16:18:42 GMT 1, Has JetSet now been "Vindicated from any wrong doing"?.
Facts are facts. Big Willy made a spurious claim that I owed him money or a print, and then retracted his statement when he/she understood that I knew his/her claim had no merit.
I've done nothing wrong here, and should be given the respect of any other person and treated as such. It's unfortunate that the group feels the need to continue to cast aspersions against me.

From what I know of good customer service, if you wrong someone, you make it right. That's all I was willing to do. In the future, please stick to the facts of the matter.
My business is a legitimate successful one in downtown Los Angeles. It consists of a brick and mortar gallery on Industrial St., a printing studio on N. Main St. and film production office in Brooklyn... The VAST majority of my activities exist off of the art forums.
To answer your earlier question of how I stay in business; here's the secret: I work with top quality talent, I treat real clients with real respect, and I sell alot of art. I deliver results and I treat everyone around me very well.
