There's a space on my wall that needs filling., by Standard on Feb 1, 2009 12:11:58 GMT 1, Another of my fill this gap threads. Rather than a mirror, which has been suggested or removing the plugs and filling the holes and painting (note the lazy DIY standards on the door in the pic!!) I am looking for something on the cheap to hang up here. (as well as a couple of replacement 24x77 doors )
Has anyone come across anything interesting in this format? Any artists want to hit me with any offers (prefer a canvas so it can go straight up) & any length within reason but the width is key, probably around 30 to 40cm.
Actually, I do have an empty frame that will go up here so paper pieces too. Nothing of any high value, and it would need to go with the PE & pistol stencil that adorn the hallway.

There's a space on my wall that needs filling., by Standard on Feb 1, 2009 12:26:15 GMT 1, Hmm? It has to be cheap, I'm selling off my camera equipment to have a go at buying another GD that I like so this is surplus to that intended purchase, say sub £100 mark. Could be more if my intentions fail on the GD.
Upcoming artists or anything that would fit in with the current art would be good. It needs to be a narrow piece though!
There is also a distinct black & red theme to art in the hallway, not that it matters but thought I better throw that in too.

Might be an idea to post this on the new artists section, sure a few people on there might be interested

I would have said that, that space is screaming out for a Lucy McLauchlan, she has done a few pieces in that shape

Actually this works very well, I forgot about these on POW. Also T*3 yourts was the one I had in mind, so am still considering.
Any chance of a look at whats in the illuminous green frame Standard? And where's the frame from?!
It's one of Pure Evil's acetate bunnies (red), he did the frame, just a re-spray of a gilt frame in the flouro green which looks pretty good. Unfortunately he cut the acetate to fit, which I didn't realise until I carried it all the way home, and with exception to a few unknowns was the first bit of Urban Art that I purchased, along with another PE print (which he also trimmed, slightly annoyed at his failure to point that out when I asked if he could frame them but hey ho, you live & learn). There is a pic posted in the get your art out.... thread. I will pm you the page number when I find it.

There's a space on my wall that needs filling., by They call me Stephen on Feb 1, 2009 23:02:47 GMT 1, i think the hewlett would work very well in that space standard, especially as it is printed on the same type of paper stock as the pure evil...a nice ornate frame would set it off a treat!!
where do you get your frames from, they're lovely

There's a space on my wall that needs filling., by crazyarsemother on Feb 1, 2009 23:07:55 GMT 1, Why don't you borrow a load of kids and then mark their heights in different coloured pens.
Might need a few basket ball players to offer contrast, or some of those England under 14 players - they are massive.

Cheers, see amended post above for frames, they only cost a few extra quid but ultimately I paid as the prints were trimmed to fit!
I have details of a company who offer ornate frames to measure, in a range of widths, colours and styles, and not too pricey. I had a quote to frame a 740x440mm in a black gloss 4 inch ornate swept frame for approx £110. If interested I will try and find the company details, just give me a pm.

No problemo my man. Jobs a good'un.
I forgot to mention that your suppose to remeasure them at some point in the future. Oh and date the hreights too. Can't wait to have kids. Together we are going to f@ck the walls up big time. We will dispense of the felt tips and get them straight on to oils and paint pens.
I vote the Hewlet but would move it 3 inches higher.

JB loving your work on RP.
