Charity Appeal, by pezlow on Mar 26, 2007 10:11:09 GMT 1, As you may have guessed from the above our very own Neutral has agreed to contribute to the auction. Thanks :-)
We have also had a pledge by celebrated war photographer Nick Danziger. Nick has agreed to take time out of his busy schedule (he is currently preparing for a trip to Afghanistan) to arrange to specially print a photo for the trust, sign it and courier it off to us. For those of you who don't know his work he currently has a marvellous exhibition of his photographs of Tony Blair on at the National Portrait Gallery which I would highly recommend.

Charity Appeal, by pezlow on Mar 31, 2007 6:39:56 GMT 1, Just received an absolutely stunning contribution from Ripper1331. It is a red crucipod canvas and is quite breathtakingly good.
Lucy MacLauchlan has donated an A/P of hanging around.
Full update on here and on the flickr site tomorrow hopefully, I am picking up a couple more exciting pieces today.

The Event
The event is all sorted. It is on Thursday 26 April 2007 between 6.30 and 8.30pm (ish). Previous events have been known to continue in an ad-hoc fashion in a local hostelry...
The venue is in Westminster, Central London.
Tickets to the event will be £25 which will include drinks and nibbles. If you would like to come please let me know and I will give you details of how to get tickets. If you are a UK taxpayer please help us by completing a gift aid form as the charity can then get back the tax on your donation.
At the event you will be able to view the pieces and make silent bids for them. Bidding will cease for all the pieces being auctioned at 8.15pm.
In addition to the silent auction there will be various other things happening during the evening including a short talk by one of the charities patrons, a raffle and various other entertaining bits and pieces. There will also be the opportunity to meet some of the people that the charity has helped over the years. Commission Bidding
If you cannot come to the event and there is something that you like and you would like to leave a commission bid please do so to me at perry dot hill at ntlworld dot com stating your maximum bid for the item. I will be envigilating the auction and will make sure that all commission bidders are treated in identical fashion to those in the room.
If you would like to phone a bid through please let me know and I can sort that out too.
Thank You
I can't thank this forum enough for all the support that you have shown during this project. It's been a lot of work to date but hugely rewarding and your positive messages have been fantastic.
The artists who have contributed also deserve a huge vote of thanks. I've thanked them all privately but would like to do it publicly as well.

Charity Appeal, by corblimeylimey on Apr 1, 2007 21:19:31 GMT 1, I've taken a look at your updated Flickr pages, quite a few pieces now in, some amazing pieces, I think the charity should do well out of this.
Anyone who hasn't already taken a look I'd highly recommend they do.

Charity Appeal, by mred on Apr 2, 2007 8:16:45 GMT 1, The number of items for the auction seems to be growing nicely. Its brilliant to see the diversity of styles and subjects. I know this is Banky.info but one of the things I like about this forum is it gives a heads up on lots of other artists.
Massive respect to all those who have stood up and sent something. I look forward to see what else comes in as you have still got a lot of promises from some great artists.
I just got a Ripper1331 Crucipod, think it was sent the same time as one for the auction, and wanted to re-iterate that its a stunning piece especially when in such a striking colour. Top quality all round, including the canvas which is real heavy duty and well crafted. Got to be worth a decent bid!!!
I cannot make the auction but am keeping my eyes on the lots as they arrive. Might make a absent bid if I see something I really like.
Good Luck

Charity Appeal, by pezlow on Apr 8, 2007 20:22:04 GMT 1, The place where we're holding the auction is a 17th century building. Thus nothing can go on the walls but it is a big space with lots of tables etc so there should be plenty of room to display everything. I've posted pics of the Holly Frean donations on the flick site now.

Charity Appeal, by pezlow on Apr 13, 2007 15:17:09 GMT 1, Ive had a number of queries about how to bid so here is a little explanation:
Just let me know the items you want to bid on and your maximum bid. You can either PM me or email me at perry dot hill at ntlworld dot com.
Most of the items have a reserve but this is set pretty low, generally around 1/2 of their market value, just because we don't want them to go for peanuts.
If your bid is above reserve then you become the winning bidder and your recorded winning bid is the reserve price. If someone else bids for the piece then they bid against you in increments a £5 until either their bid tops your maximum or they have stopped bidding. If bids are tied then the first bid in time is considered the winning bidder.
So in other words if (say) a piece has a reserve of £100 and you bid £200 the current winning bid will be £100 (you). If someone comes in and bids £150 the current winning bid will be £155 (you). If someone bids £200 the winning bid is still you because you came in first. If that person bids £205 then they become the winning bidder.
There is no commission on top of bids and we will ship anywhere in the world at cost. If you pay by paypal we would ask you to pay the exhorbitant paypal fees but if you pay by cheque or bank transfer that won't apply.

Charity Appeal, by pezlow on Apr 14, 2007 20:35:22 GMT 1, Hey all - hadn't really though of people buying raffle tickets in advance but if you would like 7eny I am sure I can sort. There is only one arty prize in the raffle and unfortunately it is not a banksy but a smallish Moira McNair print. There are a few others prizes as well. I'll get all the details from the person organising that (luckily not me) and get back to you.
ChiefKickAss - Sadly no banksy in the auction. But I do think our Mr B does an awful lot for charity already.
