Saying that Stella accounts for 90% of my beer intake

This is the beer of the Gods!!!
It is the original Theakstons, still brewed in the original copper vats in Masham in North Yorkshire
Paul Theakston git to keep the brewery and the recipe when his brothers sold off the Theakston name to become a new fangled brewery... over the road.. around those parts you choose like City or United

If it's got a fluffy white head you should be taking it straight back to the bar and complaining. The head should be creamy with no bubbles (craters on the surface = bad 'un, take it back)

But I think Theakston (or Scottish & Newcastle!) kept the old brewery and Theakston bought the old mill.
Story goes, Theakston used the money Scottish & Newcastle gave him and spent the 5 years going around the country to perfect his recipe....now thats a job!!!!

It's very hard to find but Alhambra from Granada (Spain) it's really good... if you come to the south of Spain look for it.

OFF TOPIC: Favorite Beer, by Prescription Art on Jun 11, 2008 12:38:57 GMT 1, There are some strange choices on this thread so far!
I love a good pint of bitter... it seems strange to me with all the fuss about organic food & locally grown produce, we ignore the fact that fantastic organic beers are brewed on our doorstep, and everyone tips mass-produced & chemical riddled Stella down their necks instead.
In the offie I'm all about the Polish beer... Lech, Tyskie, Okocim or Zywiec. Fortunatelly you can buy it everywhere now.
As far as lager goes, the colder the country the better the beer.

Hooky Best all the way, and at Xmas "12 Days", which after about 2 weeks in a barrel ends up at around 9% abv!!!!!
GET IN!
