Cartoons/Sketches, by pezlow on Oct 21, 2007 19:52:37 GMT 1, Anyone else a fan of cartoonists and illustrators in that genre. I've picked up a few nice bits over the years including:
Nick park (at the top)
Glen Baxter
Chris Donald (viz):
Also just bought some more in a charity auction on the bay. Will post pics in a bit.

Cartoons/Sketches, by corblimeylimey on Oct 21, 2007 20:08:35 GMT 1, I like Glen Baxter, but haven't bought anything by him or other cartoonists.
One of the guys who did BIFF is from down this way, he used to leave a few originals for one of my local pubs, which they proudly displayed, they were great and would feature pub regulars and events.

Cartoons/Sketches, by pezlow on Oct 22, 2007 8:41:14 GMT 1, Just me and CBL. If anyone else is interested there is a superb show at the Chris Beetles gallery just before christmas called the illustrators. It is a selling show and you can pick up loads of cartoon originals and things for pretty reasonable prices. The gallery is a bit old fashioned and that can be reflected in their framing choices but it is still worth a good browse.

Cartoons/Sketches, by umajets on Oct 22, 2007 11:36:30 GMT 1, Hi Pez Yes, I'm into cartoons, but then I am a cartoonist. ;D I've got a few prints and originals on my walls from friends and colleagues. Will try and take some pics and put them up when I get the chance.
This was one of mine in the latest Reader's Digest. Yes, he's getting mainstream enough that his name can now be used in a gag. Even my mum's heard of him. ;D
And here's an Eelus themed gag.
Plus the Mic queue strip i posted on here before.
***Shameless promotion** All available as signed A4 prints. ยฃ5 each plus ยฃ1.50 UK P&P - PM me for details **Shameless promotion** ;D ;D
Cheers Tim

Cartoons/Sketches, by umajets on Oct 23, 2007 10:54:35 GMT 1, Thanks for all comments. My site is due an update - haven't put any new work on there in over a year.
I've got the 'short history of America' print. Looks like there's only one left on the site - well worth 80 bucks - snap it up!

"He is very particular when it comes to putting his signature on anything and reviews all of my listings....."
That's a little out of the ordinary.
You could try asking the official Crumb site, but seeing as how they sell signed prints, they might not want to comment on these.
I had a friend who lived next door to Donald Bradman and basically followed him around with a Sharpie until the day he died.
