bad things about London, by goffy on Jan 26, 2008 10:27:10 GMT 1, I lived in London for 7 years and loved it. Drove a Vespa around town so traffic, congestion charge and parking weren't much of a problem.

bad things about London, by onemandown72 on Jan 26, 2008 11:46:49 GMT 1, Couldn't agree more, Most of us get bored of looking at scowling faces every morning, sell up, go and live in the middle of no-where obsessively watching new print releases on-line, to spend the money we've made on selling the shoe-box we called home for a few years. then we get interrupted by the missus and kids asking yet again what we are looking at online, whilst you surrepticiously try to hide whatever the current print is.
All in all London is great, but even better once you've moved away and can appreciate it for what it is

Most artists love seeing there work on display in exhibitions. And you can't encourage people to be 'strung' up and want peace as well
Which way is it, Peace or violence?

So no art shows for you then. Unless I've got it wrong aren't you a Barry McGee fan? If so would you not like to go to the show and see his work?
And looking at a previous post you're a beejoir fan also. You staying at home for that one too?!

bad things about London, by pseudo on Jan 26, 2008 16:43:36 GMT 1, far from staying at home, i'll be there whingeing in a foreign accent about how dull it all is and how far from avante garde it has all become. ah well, gets me out of the gimp outfit for the evening. barry mcgee knows what he's doing, and has even written about how he now stays well away from putting the work he does for the streets anywhere near a gallery, so in my mind he operates on two very different levels, fully understanding that there is an eternal comprimise in trying to bring to bear the attitude of the streets into a gallery, essentially trying to bring something anti-system into the system. well that's the way that i read it. any chance of a lift to newcastle frankie?

Yeah for sure, but bring a warm jacket as you're on the roof rack

One of the worst things about London Is the arrogant wankers with their overpowering opinions which are generally weak in content and makes them sound a complete tosser! See Above! Trust me, there's alot more of him in London than u may think!

bad things about London, by noodles1 on Jan 26, 2008 19:51:34 GMT 1, When I say 'Overpowering', I mean in the way your opinion is put across, not its content. Those I speak of generally have to try to be overpowering because wot they say is shit and their Lack of personality has to be compensated by a loud bellowing of words that they themselves are not sure they believe in. All just to shock and get attention. I see people like this far to many times a day. How do you know I'm a Northern Pansy? Have we shagged??? ;D

bad things about London, by daley on Jan 26, 2008 20:24:37 GMT 1, I love London but I also hate it in equal measures. Being a northerner, I personally don't think you can find a proper or half decent chippie to save your life! I used to hate it when I was younger trying to find somewhere to live that had cheap rent. The Dead Kennedy's track 'Lets Lynch The Landlord' had real meaning in those days. I love the idea I can see new exhibitions nearly every week - or gigs etc.

bad things about London, by a4mnt on Jan 26, 2008 21:41:11 GMT 1, Skanky, you know I wish that was true, but in reality I was downstairs gawping at the girl behind the bar in disbelief that the beer had ran out - and even after we roped Matt Small into our scheme to get served, we still didn't get any. That sucks.
On the subject, London's great, I can't complain. Been here 10 years to the day almost.......its home.
