Will the value of prints increase after Sotherby's, by Daniel Silk on Jan 29, 2007 21:26:35 GMT 1, Will the value of prints increase after Sotherby's? ?
I should think so
Seems like more and more people are after getting the signed prints and canvases, so I should think the pieces in the auction will go over the estimates ;D
Plus some new people that still might not have heard of Banksy will find out about him at the auction and look into buyin some work after online.

Will the value of prints increase after Sotherby's, by bristolmassive on Jan 30, 2007 12:16:29 GMT 1, The extra publicity (bet it makes the news) is bound to have some kind of impact on prices. I seem to remember the prices rising after the LA show.

Will the value of prints increase after Sotherby's, by Curley on Jan 30, 2007 14:04:32 GMT 1, is it too big ? is it too small ?
Its not all about the money....pls get a grip people because soon all the meaning these prints have will be lost and all it will be about is the filthy lucre.
Sure these will sell for lots of money, its a no brainer as they are very sort after items but this endless conjecture on value is BORING.
What ever happen to that bloke that used spray funny stuff on walls that used make me/us laugh ?

Will the value of prints increase after Sotherby's, by twigboy on Jan 30, 2007 15:41:16 GMT 1, Usually the prices they put in the catalogues are about 50% less than what they feel they are actually going to get for the piece... This draws in the buyers and bidders... A high class ebay

Sadly he stopped writing on walls and started making pieces for auctions (the cast of the girl in a gas mask was in Laz inc's storage along with Ben Turnbulls Pez Presidents late last year so has been put straight into auction to make cash, not a private seller).

Will the value of prints increase after Sotherby's, by monochrome on Jan 30, 2007 17:21:48 GMT 1, why would the price of prints rise based on the price of original works? these are all new, unlisted auction pieces that have no previous guide to base results. only when the same piece is relisted will we 'know' if prices are increasing or not.
personally i think signed is rising daily, weekly, monthly.
i forecast that if someone 'dare' to list a Girl With Balloon on eBay or with a gallery, it would break ยฃ8k if not surpass ยฃ10k

we've been told. I was just interested what people thought. I don't see anything wrong with discussing the value I think most people on here are interested in the money prints go for because most people on here are swapping, saving up for, buying or selling them. thats just the way it is and I don't see it changing for a long, long time. This message board would be empty if we just sat here discussing how great happy choppers is.
