Ebay listing tips, by Acme Thunderer on Oct 18, 2011 21:17:40 GMT 1, All of the print purchases I have made on eBay have been excellent and have found 99.9% of all buyers and sellers trustworthy.
The only time I got stung was when selling a print. If someone doesn't make payment, think carefully before reporting them to eBay as a non-payer.
I done this after they had not paid and ignored numerous emails after 10 days. They eventually paid for the item (so they didn't get banned) and they then reported me to eBay for sending damaged goods to get a full refund and keep their feedback intact. I was left out of pocket, with a damaged print and lost 10 years of 100% positive feedback.
eBay favours the buyer and not the seller so do everything you can do to protect yourself. As a previous forum member mentioned, take dated photos as evidence before you post the item.

This is different to how I understand eBay. A winning bidder has I think eight days to pay and if they don't after day four you should in most circumstances open an unpaid item case. Then on day eight you can close the case and get your fees back and the bidder gets a strike (not banned). I've had to do this twice, once on a print and once non-art related. If everyone reported those that didn't pay, eBay would be a better place and might stop those hyping up the prices.
