feedback about KOP purchase, by rperry on Jan 13, 2012 15:13:21 GMT 1, I know some people have had good experiences with them. Mine however, has been far from good and downright strange.
It started fine, then after about 2 weeks during holiday, when item should be ready to be shipped I am told it's going back to the artist to "check for shipping." This didn't make any sense, their communication was rubbish.
I got conflicting stories as to why painting was sent back and I of course got worried. A week later when I talked with Matt on the phone his explanation made sense, they have a storage unit, someone talking to stik about the paintings noticed scratches/scuffing while at the unit, so stik asked to send them back for a touch up. All sounds good but that's not what I was told to begin with---- a week of headaches for nothing...
Then I finally pay and item is being sent overseas. They address the package to the wrong person!
Then, instead of listing the item as a painting or painting on metal they list the customs description as delicate metal framework. This, of course, triggers a Hazardous Materials Irregularity with the customs office and my painting is now Haz Mat and not cleared to leave the country.
UPS operator told me last night they were unable to contact shipper (gallery) yesterday. I wrote them emails last night, Stik wrote me back a few hours ago, as of now nothing from the gallery.
They overinsured the painting by 25%, normally I wouldn't think twice about that but with what's going on and their lack of communication, I'm getting the feeling it was all done with a hope this shipment would get as screwed up as it did; they make a claim and make a few extra quid.
Now, I have no money, no painting, no information... Well done KOP.

feedback about KOP purchase, by King of Paint on Jan 14, 2012 0:51:04 GMT 1, I am really sorry that you feel you have had a bad experience; it is really not what we wanted for you. I have emailed you today but have yet to receive a reply. The description of the goods has been amended with UPS via Interparcel and the name corrected. You completed the payment for the artwork on Tuesday 10th Jan and the goods where dispatched the very next morning. We have been informed that there was a temporary delay due to the piece of artwork being metal. This however only lasted for about 9 hours. Unfortunately this meant that it missed the scheduled flight. We are confident that this piece of art will be with you very soon and apologies for any inconvenience caused.

feedback about KOP purchase, by rperry on Jan 14, 2012 1:39:58 GMT 1, I am not feeling anything I am sharing the facts of this transaction for the benefit of others.
The facts are the facts, it was delayed and is still currently being delayed because of your improper customs description and their inability to get in touch with you. I have just got off the phone UPS for the 11th time, they do not have the parcel yet, it is still with customs. Despite saying it's now cleared online UPS does not physically have the package and they do not know why, they are awaiting response from them.
I have no idea where you got "9 hours" since it was flagged at 12 AM UK time on the 11th. It is STILL with customs. and as for your finally responding to my calls and 3 emails.. and now saying you are awaiting my response, let me refresh your memory:
"Robert,
I havent been able to answer my phone as I have been on the phone to other customers . I have already spoken to UPS ( via Interparcel ) and corrected the incorrect name, for which I apologize again. I have also amended the description of the goods. As soon as I have any more information for you I will be in touch."
EDIT: In addition UPS has NO record of you or interparcel on your behalf contacting them with amended information. It is still addressed to the wrong person and the description still says fragile metal framing.
Final edit. After quite a bit of trouble and the name never changed on the shipping label, it did arrive, but it was a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT painting. ;D
