: a snowboard jacket, by MGK1 on Dec 10, 2011 0:10:15 GMT 1, bit of an odd one, i know it should'nt really be posted in this section but its a little bit urgent
i'm off to whistler for 2 weeks just after christmas. i've just tried on my old snowboard jacket and found it is far too small for me now so i need a new one for this season.
i'm meant to be saving so i think i'll try to get a second hand one, does anyone have one they're selling? thought i'd try here before i looked on ebay

Make sure you bring lots of layers, scripmy jacket or not.
Good luck and happy riding.

Best place to ski it's fan Fu#€ing tactic. You will love it. Cracking mountains great runs etc good people. They do not stop the lifts like the yanks do as it's a bit windy etc. Top draw. Love skiing in US as well but much to many anal rules compared to Canada.

: a snowboard jacket, by ABC on Dec 12, 2011 15:31:10 GMT 1, I've been to both Polar regions in a Jacket bought from TK Max, not a problem. Also Boarded in Northern Norway in - Bloody Cold weather in a DARE2B jacket. My family have a place in Big White CA so know about the tempretures over there. It helps to have decent base layers. I find Puffers great in the cold, Ive also had a HH puffer from M&M which was great. If you don't mind not having the latest bling on the slopes then you don't need to spend £££'s
Just depends what you buy. Our TK Maxx sells some decent stuff, North Face, Berghaus etc etc you just have to be there at the right time when they get deliveries. Have you tried DARE2B www.dare2b.com/buy/mens/snow-jackets/ they have a 50% sale, and they maybe budget but they are fine. Wish I were boarding, very jealous, haven't managed to get away this season.

Meant the snow boarding company (www.burton.com) Rumours say that Jake Burton invented snowboarding ...sorry, was not aware of a high street shop with that name but now feel the urge to do some investigation. ;D

If you're in the market for a truly horrific cheap suit or a union flag towel for your holidays - that's where you should shop...

Sorry I haven't PM'd you back Ben, been busy times, will PM reply and details of the coat incase yer interested?...Some great deals online if you look in the right places...Zimtstern do some great coats but maybe a bit pricey! Definately invest in some decent thermals and don't forget the knee-pads...More importantly...get decent insurance...I managed to smash my kneecap into 5 pieces...saved myself a 15k bill by taking £30 insurance out!

never really heard of wearing knee pads? i've got some banging volcom snowboard pants that i think have quite a lot of protection but i'll research it. i've got my insurance and my thermals so i'm sorted for that.

As for knee pads I wear soft padding ones used for blading. I have had a lot of trouble with my knees in the past, suprising how often you land on them, saves me alot of pain

Pretty dry air there so even if temperatures are very low it doesn't feel as cold as in Europe. Wouldn't worry about the temperatures.
