Jeremy Geddes - Cluster, by lbrabs on Feb 8, 2012 13:48:17 GMT 1, I have just counted 35 on expresso beans that have already been sold are for sale or are being sold through express beans. I mean 35! Out of 200. Mostly from the states. Is this a record. I have written to soph at the j g site. I think from ier response that she is also shocked by this number too. Not sure if they will do anything. Imo if they were to cancel a few orders it would send a message out.? all the flippers from expressobeans will flood the secondary market with this print... I think. told you... expressoflippers voted a perfect vacuum print of the year '11... they will buy and flip any Geddes release from now on.
When they voted it print of the year were they referring to it in artistic terms or profit terms?!

I don't see why this is so shocking - if you release something with a guaranteed 200% profit then you shouldn't be entirely shocked when people profit from that?
Bloke walked down my train carriage the other day begging for 50p from every passenger.....
Cancelling orders wouldn't achieve anything other than flippers actually waiting for the print in hand before selling. Pricing correctly (ish) from source might deter a few.......

Jeremy Geddes - Cluster, by fairplay1974 on Feb 13, 2012 11:52:24 GMT 1, pricing correctly....Or massively raising the edition size and keeping prices low so all fans can get one.
This is now another one that is on my because I couldn't get it first time release, have a feeling it will cost me a little more now!

I actually agree....My comment was more about what would stop the 'flipping' in general.
The other way of course is not to buy at the inflated price offered by sellers immediately after missing a release, but there'll always be someone who does, that then sets a precedent in the new price benchmark.
Overall though, I'm of the opinion you own it, do what you want with it. If you can sell it for 1000% profit, your choice and fair enough. I'm not going to get hung up on it nor do I have to buy at the price offered. Patience can often be a virtue, that art lovers sometimes forget....I know, I'm terrible on that front sometimes!

Jeremy Geddes - Cluster, by sfinks on Feb 26, 2012 17:35:18 GMT 1, That IS nice choice of frames. Looking forward to see them done. Was hoping for something else then black or white on Cluster, like the size and light color on this one

Jeremy Geddes - Cluster, by fairplay1974 on Feb 27, 2012 10:14:18 GMT 1, Is it just me that's a little nervy about how that Cluster is being flattened for frame matching?! Especially in the 2nd pic.... I'm sure it's fine, but personally I'd be flattening out those corners!

Finally on the wall! ;D
Also got my Warmer Air framed with the same type frame, but smaller and with gold/brown-colors.
I'm extremly happy with the result, also my first time to use reflection-free/museum glass - the difference are shocking! The pics are taken using a blitz directly towards the glass and almost no reflections..
