Forum Auctions โข Banksy Marketplace ๐ฌ๐ง, by saint on Nov 24, 2020 17:58:56 GMT 1, I asked in 2016 if there was any other versions of donuts ever done, as at that time was compiling a list of all print variants and artist proofs, they flat out lied to me and said "No, we only ever did the 2 regular editions of Donuts".... But they told me all the other variants of prints so my list has been wrong for the last 4 years..... Actually, they probably lied about all the prints and I'm missing loads of info..... What harm in telling me they had done this one?? It's a great version, best version hands down and I own one of the normal ones. So you expected a company/artist manager/gallery or whatever tf you wanna call it, to provide you private information for you to use for youโre own commercial purposes including buy not limited to personal monetary gain? Iโm sorry I just donโt understand the accusations of โ THEY FLAT OUT LIED TO ME โ what if they wasnโt done when you asked? My bad wait, who the hell are you again? Banksyโs Life coach? Or his spiritual adviser? Or maybe you the Royal WCP? Why would a print house or an artist or anyone be obligated to provide you with information of the inner workings or Dealings of there business? What about private commissions? Do you also demand that info/image edition info before the actual recipient received the art? Lol Iโm never surprised at the things grown men whine about when it comes to these cool colored pieces of paper which in reality they donโt have any rights to other than self entitlement! What happened to the passion in collecting art? The chase, the anxiety of continuously f5โing refreshing going back and going back to keep in cart. Check4change page monitor early links the feeling of winning the olympics when that PayPal receipt Email came before the page refreshed was the greatest relief of morning stress. Damn I miss those days of yore. Wow, some accusations there.
Actually Simon and all at POW knew me and knew that my interest in the various prints was purely academic, they were always very forthcoming with all information over the years, and I have never shared anything with anyone, or used it for financial gain. I know of all the variants, and all the ap colour ways of all prints (or so I thought), and, as I did with originals years ago and before that side of things became secretive, I was compiling a list which I hoped would be be useful in the future, as an academic practice. I asked them directly if there were any variants of donuts, they said no, this was in 2016, apparently 7 years after this version had been printed. I don't know why they lied about it, but they did. Whether you like me saying that is irrelevant to me.
However, that to me is passion in collecting, knowing an artist and taking an interest in all of their work.
The days of yore? The days of yore was when we used to go and have a chat with them at the shop while deciding if we wanted to buy a print and no one else knew of Banksy.
You know nothing of me or why I do anything I do, so next time relax a bit prior to throwing accusations around.

Banksy Happy Chopper Print, by saint on Oct 31, 2020 13:53:51 GMT 1, A genuine post well and truly hijacked. Iโd always want to offer a sale to the good members of this forum but when you see examples like this, where a member has posted a clear for sale and at what is a market price, it certainly makes me question whether itโs worth it Itโs a forum . Itโs soul purpose is debate. I can assure you , the sales thread is just fine! His DMs are full and a sale will be closed soon.. You're not debating anything though really are you, you're insulting people who want to sell things, insulting people who want to buy things, and then insulting people for not agreeing with you. This is not debate, its playground bullying tactics and makes you look like a bit of a cunt tbqhwy. I agree prices are mental, and I wouldn't pay anything like the prices being asked now for prints, but that's my opinion and I don't feel the need to scream it at people who don't agree with me to justify my existence on this forum. In summary, debate = good, being a c**t= bad.

Banksy Heavy Weaponry, Real or Fake?, by saint on Oct 29, 2020 14:59:00 GMT 1, Quick read through this thread, and while I'm not commenting on the piece itself I would say this....
if it were me, and I had bought this, I would want a much less ambiguous answer from PC about the actual piece in question, and not a comment about the piece that was on display, which as has been shown, this is not. I would want this for my own knowledge and to satisfy curiosity.
I would email PC back, and explain exactly what it was sold to you as, that it is not the piece that was on display, but instead was sold as another example from the same period/show, or a test for the final piece that was used in the display.
Once you have explained everything to them they will hopefully either answer saying yes there was a test spray/secondary piece, but they won't authenticate it as it was never intended for sale, or they will say there was no other piece and it is therefore a fake.
Either way you will hopefully have you answer.
Fingers crossed for you, would look good framed up for sure.

I Hate Mondays Postcard, by saint on Oct 28, 2020 17:31:07 GMT 1, Do you remember when Banksy painted the Zorro roller piece just off the motorway and Zippy went off to take pics for us all and almost crashed his car? Great days. Not to mention, didn't they screen print that onto anything you wanted them to at the POW open day at the old old location when they had people painting as well? I remember meeting brainwash there, nice guy if totally mental. Actually I might have mistaken that piece for another piece.... was a long time ago. Great piece that Zorro/highwayman piece anyway.....

I have one I just found in a box with tons of other postcards from other artists. I can't remember picking it up anywhere, I assume the Museum show? It has on the back the monkey queen stamp thing.... I just don't remember getting it, or any others....

Banksy + Clown Skateboards, by saint on Oct 15, 2020 9:40:42 GMT 1, I think not knowing the future intentions of the group makes it hard to appreciate the true monetary value of this run of skateboards. If they continue to use the Banksy logo on future designs, what makes this 100 boards special, and worth the extra money? I presume it will be the last time the monkeys are used, but who knows? I assume the logo Banksy designed is their's to use as they see fit as he gave it to them. The other designs won't be used, and perhaps the original acetate Banksy created won't be used, so its a new acetate of their logo?

Banksy + Clown Skateboards, by saint on Oct 15, 2020 9:24:14 GMT 1, Agree. With the additional release in November it feels like a bit of a cash grab. have any sold on the secondary from the first batch ? No one has them in hand yet.... so nothing publicly as far as I'm aware.
I'm fairly sure promises have been made and private sales have been carried out tho....

New Banksy in Nottingham , by saint on Oct 15, 2020 9:20:22 GMT 1, I'm conflicted, I thought about this over night.
The wheels have come off is a fairly good way to describe the mess we're in, so I'm thinking the message could be right.
Location: is it near where the old Raleigh bike factory was? If so, then location choice is spot on....

Banksy + Clown Skateboards, by saint on Oct 15, 2020 9:15:59 GMT 1, Pointless, I would have preferred a straight fastest finger first.
People have multiple emails set up for drops like this and will enter 100's of times, I'm far too old to worry about that. The blind bid again seems pointless, just greedy as a way to release something imo. Put them on ebay if you want an auction. jokes.

New Banksy in Nottingham , by saint on Oct 14, 2020 21:09:16 GMT 1, I donโt think so. I think banksy would have been funnier and more meaningful. Especially in Nottingham during stage 2 lockdown....
Saying that, itโs nicely done and I like people painting walls

Banksy Radar Rat โข Dirty Funker 12", by saint on Oct 14, 2020 16:28:45 GMT 1, Also just found the post re numbering and POW.... Again I quote:
"Having checked this out and for all those concerned the Radar rat has a cert and indeed is from an unsigned ed of 25. POW sold the print to someone in the early days without a signature, for those who remember things then it was a real shambles all sorts of errors were made, double numbers etc.
When it was sent to PCO their way of correcting the error was to change the numbering from 75 to 25 and make it part of an edition of 25 unsigned prints.
So there we are no great conspiracy just PCO correcting an error they made when they sold it originally"

Banksy Radar Rat โข Dirty Funker 12", by saint on Oct 14, 2020 16:23:49 GMT 1, So just to confirm re the unsigned. There is only 1? Is it numbered 1/1? Hand sprayed like the signed edition? Itโs thought to be an anomaly and was given coa, only one has been seen at forum auctions but its numbered higher than 1 and from a smaller edition than the signed. Thereโs a discussion on lowest unsigned print edition buried in a thread somewhere recently that discusses it. Thank you for this, I just looked through the old posts and came across some info. Whether it is correct is anyones to call, but it is from someone who had an unsigned radar rat.... I quote...
"This Radar Rat... Mine was unsiged when I picked it up from POW back in '05 and I didnt notice.... The RR pirnt... I sent mine back and they got it signed and sent it back to me. So not all were signed... in discussion with POW at the time it seems Santas Ghetto was so mad that this kind of slip up could occur..."
So, it could be that the unsigned Radar Rats just slipped through the net? They should all be signed.....
Very confusing this all....
Just also found this thread from 2013 regarding unsigned radar rats of an edition of 175.... urbanartassociation.com/thread/103386/ebay-banksy-radar-rat-unsigned
