Kaws Plate Set, by sircoxson on Jan 22, 2019 10:05:46 GMT 1, I like the op for his boldness clearly anticipating what this thread would cause.
definitely some members that were berating the op have done something similar during their uaa career, especially that dude irl1 probably shouldn't participate in this very thread. and flipping something one week after release or after 6 months really doesn't make a difference in my eyes, only shows the guy who flips 6 months after is more liquid/smarter/forgot he bought something to flip...

Framing a large Harland Miller, by sircoxson on Jan 22, 2019 9:26:55 GMT 1, I asked manifold for their recommended framing specs for a miller print, this is what I got. I changed to wooden frame btw, turned out very nice.
"We normally frame these prints in either a white wooden or white aluminium frame. The spec for white aluminium is as follows, which can easily be changed to white wood if you prefer:
Float forward on 5mm foam core on 1650 white heritage board Profile ½" face x 2 ½" side aluminium 18mm spacer to suit board Paperwhite solid spray 25mm crossbar backing frame 3mm UV perspex and 4mm backing.
We normally use Japanese hinges for attaching the back of the print to the backboard of the frame, which are considered conservation-standard.
I would certainly recommend UV-protected glazing. We normally use plexiglass, which is more expensive but lighter weight, and if the print ever comes away from the wall, the plexi won’t smash and damage the print. The best museum-grade plexiglass is a product called Optium, which is expensive but it is anti-glare and UV protected. "

Favourite piece you bought in 2018, by sircoxson on Jan 7, 2019 21:43:48 GMT 1, Absolutely LOVE this Denzler...been after one of his pieces for years. They are spectacular in person. Congrats! If you don't mind me asking, what are the dimensions of this one? thank you very much. I like mine because it is a bit different from his usual works as denzler usually/predominantly uses a lot of beige or earthy tones in his paintings. I was quite surprised it was still available at the gallery when I enquired about works by denzler. it's pretty small for his standards with 80x70cm.

PEJAC ORIGINAL 'LOVE LETTER' - CHARITY AUCTION, by sircoxson on Dec 17, 2018 15:53:01 GMT 1, absolutely. I think we both know the buyer, he did well... If it was such a bargain, why didn't either of you pull the trigger? you did have 48 hours to do it... do I have to buy everything on this world if I consider it to be a bargain?

PEJAC ORIGINAL 'LOVE LETTER' - CHARITY AUCTION, by sircoxson on Dec 17, 2018 7:10:07 GMT 1, Not that wealthy. Whatsapp crowdfunding fell through. US$75k painting still available. They're all "invested" so they're biased. As many have stated, his prices are too high for his exposure, experience and history. That said, Instagram and the wealthy elite who follow it have certainly turned the art market on its head so wtf do I know? Maybe this is the new normal.

Paco Pomet 🇪🇸 Granada, Spain • New Paintings , by sircoxson on Dec 12, 2018 11:00:58 GMT 1, After a good night of drying and flattening I think we are good Still some flattening to do though but it’s in a good way Do you think I should go to fedex for a partial refund since they clearly didn’t handle the package correctly ?
and then? why should the refund? print is looking good as you say...

Pejac - Love Letter, by sircoxson on Dec 6, 2018 20:49:05 GMT 1, How do you know Nick Smith prints will be £7000? All 20 of them bought for 4000£ will be worth 7000£ (Recently priced 195£ each at retail)
4-7k in 3 years is rather disappointing...

Pejac - Love Letter, by sircoxson on Dec 6, 2018 20:38:18 GMT 1, If you buy today 1 pejac print on secondary for 4000£ and 20 nick smith prints on primary for 4000£, in 2-3 years you will have a pejac print worth 2000£ and 20 nick smith prints worth 7000£. So yeah I’m good thank you. Also I never buy to sell. I’m just helping out new collectors that might be lost and thinking they should buy a pejac before it’s too late. The delusions are strong with this one
nick who?😏

Pejac - Love Letter, by sircoxson on Dec 6, 2018 15:28:23 GMT 1, I tell you what this release and this thread reminds me of. The Dran boxset that was selling for £750 at his London show. People bought thinking it was highly flippable, now they cannot even sell it at cost. Give it a couple of months, when the fanboys have finally offloaded their handfinished prints and originals privately without Max knowing (and quite a few are doing the rounds), then you will see where this piece will end up. Wolfgang Tillmans just released a signed edition of 100 for 750€ that sold out while everyone is concentrating on an open edition from an art unknown. 🤦
would have considered to buy - but you haven‘t posted the release as usual. why not, mate? 😥

Pejac - Love Letter, by sircoxson on Dec 4, 2018 22:33:36 GMT 1, I’ve never heard so much bollocks in all my days in people trying to justify spunking £600 for this. Each to their own I guess but gushing over how gently those envelopes have been caressed and packaged, oooh he’s donating one to orphan badgers too. Fanboys get the baby oil and scented candles out. I love this place. You have not seen how he puts the stamps on, have you! In the old days it used to be a pretty lady in a field eating a cadburys flake, now we have......some french dude with white gloves
he is spanish ffs...

Pejac’s Air Mail, by sircoxson on Dec 3, 2018 17:40:49 GMT 1, Cool double sided frame idea. At 60£ I would consider getting 1. I was not expecting such a wrong move from such a fabulous managment, but then, I do think Pejac is heading towards the Eelus effect. Good luck everyone selling your Pejac prints before its too late. x I may be wrong but it seems a lot of your posts about pejac lately have been bashing in nature. Your expectations are hilarious if not easy to see through thisisit is a man/woman on a mission...no postings about stuff they like, just constant bashing.
