Minidiscs & Minidisc Player, by t3c on Nov 21, 2016 11:00:05 GMT 1, would love a copy of Orbital live at Glasto on minidisc , they also work well as a car stereo as they dont jump like CD players ... they were good for samples and adverts on the old pirate radio stations too .... LS88 Give me until the new year and i'll see what i can do, house currently in disarray due to building works but once i get everything set up again i'll re-digitalise the lot into MP3 format. Got some rare Richie Hawtin R1 & live sets too which are well worth upping also (especially now he's pretty crap/boring)

Minidiscs & Minidisc Player, by t3c on Nov 17, 2016 16:58:58 GMT 1, This is an intriguing topic!
I love mini-discs and how they sound. I used to sample lots of drums onto MD's then spit the audio back out into a hard disk recorder or such. Lovely digital compression you simply couldn't get through anything else due to the bitrate used.
I dug out 200+ minidiscs the other day and started to re-catalog them to eventually digitalise for easier access when listening on the move etc My old Kenwood recorder died many years ago but i found a practically brand new clearly forgotten Sony one tucked away in the office the other day which i duly nabbed and rekindled my MD appreciation!
It's a brilliant format, still is imo despite it's age. I have a ton of festival recordings too where i used a minidisc and a mic taped to sunglasses so that the signal wasn't blocked so bad, it worked brilliantly outside but not so much in a room due to bass bounce. Orbital at Glastonbury, The Eclipse festival they did down in cornwall, I have so many amazing sets stashed away on these little discs.
Wicked thread, big up minidiscs!

20% off!!! Eelus, nathan ota, zed 1, rob wass, dotmaster,..., by t3c on Nov 10, 2016 17:56:44 GMT 1, feel bad for Dono, he's swapping one 'you'll never have it all' hobby for an even worse one..
my advice to you my friend is get all meta about it and start collecting hobbies.
Art, Vinyl, Music kit, Snowboarding, Mountain Biking, Beer, Whiskey are a mere fraction of mine but primarily the main one's - there are others, some probably not advisable mentioning here though

It's like a volcanic eruption of cash doing a renovation. The art is safe thankfully and not on the walls!

***DAMIEN HIRST LSD FOR SALE ยฃ5400***, by t3c on Oct 17, 2016 17:32:11 GMT 1, These viewpoints may be based purely on aesthetics โ in which case, fair enough. But are all of you taking process and medium into account as well? If so, and if looking to buy a Da mien Hi rst spots multiple, why even consider a C-type? Why get a photographic printout of a painting? Would it not be preferable to have one of the many spot woodcuts, etchings or even screenprints by Hi rst? Fair point met - its purely aesthetics on my behalf - the piece just looks great (in the same way the Valium piece looks great) and I have to admit I love the name of the piece too (I'm easily pleased!). The medium on this one is secondary. Pretty much my exact sentiments on the matter too

Banksy Signed 'Nola' AP/16 on Four Rooms..., by t3c on Oct 11, 2016 18:56:36 GMT 1, The one that winds me up the most off that show apart from Lamberty is the mutton trying to dress like a lamb Celia Sawyer.
Rarely buys anything and her seriously lowball offers are often utterly embarrassing.

Harland Miller..., by t3c on Oct 11, 2016 10:32:46 GMT 1, Or not, seems to have gone. Yes it seems to of been sold in the last few days. It was pretty small, around the size of A4 paper. I would prefer to save for the next 10yrs and buy that 'Who Wins Cares' painting for ยฃ33k. I was hoping my HM would sneak thru customs as it has happened to me before with expensive art but it seems not this time (Bastards) Shit i hope i can afford the duty as i am unemployed at the moment and out thousands of dollars due to the company i worked for went in to voluntary receivership. I was one of the lucky ones there are guys that will lose tens of thousands. We were all stunned (150ish employees) as the company had only recently been sold to this multinational. Fast forward 12 weeks and it goes bust WTF. Life can throw us some curve balls at times. Anyone in the UK or US got any work? I can travel Any good with computers mate?

New England Manager, by t3c on Sept 29, 2016 16:37:04 GMT 1, I disagree. The man has a very intelligent footballing mindset irrespective of trophies achieved (what has Allardyce, Hodgson, Keegan or many other England managers won? Look at the teams they managed along the way to the England job too!) Hoddle all the way for me Have you heard him commentate on ITV? The guy speaks complete gibberish. It's a bit of a prerequisite though isn't it for being an ITV commentator? Wilkins, Smith, Townsend...the list is endless.
I care not for his commentary, what i do care about is getting a starting XI playing decent attacking football.
