#Peace For Paris , by kobron on Nov 17, 2015 20:08:44 GMT 1, Read a lot, heard a lot and seen too much over the past few days.. but this..this is it. The husband of a 35 year old woman killed in the Paris attacks has written a touching message to the โlove of my lifeโ and promised to raise their 17-month-old son โhappy and freeโ. www.independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/paris-terror-husband-pays-touching-tribute-to-love-of-his-life-in-defiant-message-to-attackers-a6737231.htmlโFriday night, you took an exceptional life - the love of my life, the mother of my son - but you will not have my hatred. I don't know who you are and I don't want to know, you are dead souls. If this God, for whom you kill blindly, made us in his image, every bullet in the body of my wife would have been one more wound in his heart.
So, no, I will not grant you the gift of my hatred. You're asking for it, but responding to hatred with anger is falling victim to the same ignorance that has made you what you are. You want me to be scared, to view my countrymen with mistrust, to sacrifice my liberty for my security. You lost.
I saw her this morning. Finally, after nights and days of waiting. She was just as beautiful as when she left on Friday night, just as beautiful as when I fell hopelessly in love over 12 years ago. Of course I am devastated by this pain, I give you this little victory, but the pain will be short-lived. I know that she will be with us every day and that we will find ourselves again in this paradise of free love to which you have no access.
We are just two, my son and me, but we are stronger than all the armies in the world. I don't have any more time to devote to you, I have to join Melvil who is waking up from his nap. He is barely 17-months-old. He will eat his meals as usual, and then we are going to play as usual, and for his whole life this little boy will threaten you by being happy and free. Because no, you will not have his hatred either.โ well,, I'll be the devil's advocate .... (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Devil%27s_advocate)

Mephistopheles-actor...(Goethe's Faust)
31 cm(12,20")
kobron.bigcartel.com/ ===================
Goethe finished writing Faust Part Two in 1831. In contrast to Faust Part One, the focus here is no longer on the soul of Faust, which has been sold to the devil, but rather on social phenomena such as psychology, history and politics, in addition to mystical and philosophical topics
Faust Part One takes place in multiple settings, the first of which is heaven. Mephistopheles makes a bet with God: he says that he can lure God's favourite human being (Faust), who is striving to learn everything that can be known, away from righteous pursuits.(...)

BANKSY Curated Show "Dismaland" in Weston-super-Mare, by kobron on Aug 23, 2015 16:56:48 GMT 1, Nice piece in the Sunday Times by Waldemar Januszczak "It adds up to an experience that keeps pummelling you with surprises". The shenanigans began a couple of months ago when my phone started to fill up with messages to phone Jo Brooks. Oh no, I thought. The trouble with Brooks is that she does the press for Banksy, Britainโs most cunning and manipulative street artist. When Brooks leaves messages on your phone you know you are going to be cunningly manipulated. And so it turned out.
A few days later, I was at the degree show at the Royal College of Art when the phone rang and I absentmindedly punched the green button. โWaldemar. Itโs Jo. Youโll never guess what Banksy is going to do. Itโs going to be the biggest thing heโs ever done. A-mazing, Waldemar. A-mazing.โ

BANKSY Curated Show "Dismaland" in Weston-super-Mare, by kobron on Aug 23, 2015 15:48:47 GMT 1,
Jones did not even review the fifty plus artists exhibiting.
Not one mention of their names or their art.
Maybe he was too eager to get away from the nether regions of England and scared in case he got lost and surrounded by feral chavs who mistake his posh voice for some sort of foreign invader.
Not one mention of Hirsts big floaty ball or any of the other artists who Jones could interpret as meaningful.
Amazing also that Guardian is very left wing that Jones does not take advantage of how run down seaside towns are.
He just dislikes Banksy because he's not a "proper" painter. His work isn't complicated enough. Not elitist enough. And the way his article doesn't mention the other artists is pretty pathetic. But I have to say, he's not alone in that regard. A lot of the media are focussing on Banksy and neglecting the other artists. Also I will add that Jones comes across as a very bitter tit.
In the painting, Sir Nicholas Serota Makes An Acquisitions Decision, the Tate boss asks: "Is it a genuine Emin (ยฃ10,000) or a worthless fake?" The work is valued at ยฃ30,000. www.standard.co.uk/arts/modern-art-is-pants-7080923.html

Show us Your own Artwork ๐จ, by kobron on Aug 23, 2015 12:57:17 GMT 1, Please always use a respirator with the right filters and replace your filters on a regular basis when using spray paint!I am writhing this post because I am concerned about artists that don't use respirators when they are painting outdoors. (I can give about 30 examples that I have seen during Upfest 2015) I have recently been doing research on buying a new respirator for working with spray paint. My findings where a bit scary... Different brands have different components but all have very toxic vapors etc.. I have collected all MSDS (Material safety data sheet) of the brands I work with and that is mainly Belton Molotow premium. And asked a professional company selling and advising on handling hazardous materials to analyze the MSDS information and advise me on the right filters. The advise is: 1.Full face respirator with and independent air source. (in other words, use your f**king scuba outfit) This because there is no filter that will filter all the vapors etc.. They understand That I wont use an oxygen tank while I spray my graffiti ;-) So they gave me a second option. 2. the second best is an AX filter. but this filter cost about 15,- GBP and only works for 24hrs. that would be about 345,- GBP per month and 4140,- GBP a year. This amount is pretty steep but maybe worth it in the long term. 3. Use an ABEK2 filter. this is cheaper and has a longer working life. but is not a 100% filtering. Most artists that have done a little research will say an A1P2 is sufficient... the reason is that the A1P2 filter is the standard for using aerosol paints. But the paints artists use have different components you will find in auto motive paints etc... One more spicy detail, Montana Cans have no MSDS information for you to check. Not online and once you ask them for one they will not give it to you. Why? They have the highest concentration of harmful chemicals.... Some of the chemicals used are Benzeen and Acetone My choice is the following: (and the best looking IMO;-) Moldex 9000 full face respirator with ABEK2 gas filters combined with FFP3 dust filter Here is some great information on different paints: granjow.net/sprayCans.htmlI wonder what kind of respirators you are using and what advice you got when buying masks and filters. I am not sure if I posted this in the right place but it would be nice if it gets pinned ;-) Montana is the devil and evil! immediately you have to drown in the sea ...
