Tabby ๐ฆ๐น Street Art โข New Print Release , by davievegas on Jun 20, 2018 23:17:08 GMT 1, Love this and would love the reg to go with my framed grey but shipping to the UK plus import VAT and clearance charges make it a bit too pricey. Any chance of an EU edition before Brexit happens - pretty please? I enjoy mine as well. I have the blue edition of 10 one

New Pose Print?, by davievegas on Feb 9, 2018 9:57:24 GMT 1, Seems people are wising up. Great sign Still sold out within minutes... That means what exactly what now a days? The original image was his top 3 most popular image sold to date for him. You know how many people wanted this image? Of course people bought it. Thats like saying a re print of Burn or Blot in print form with diff color ways would not sell out. Brainwash does this all the time but yet sells out still. We all know how most people feel about him on this board so that re print crap should be looked upon as garbage lazy sales tactics. But money talks and if people will buy poop in a can because the hype is strong enough then gosh darnit it is what it is. Will never make it right.

New Pose Print?, by davievegas on Feb 9, 2018 9:42:52 GMT 1, Seems people are wising up. Great sign It's almost like you're rooting for him to fail... Antagonizing is a horrible quality. Already stated this particular re print shouldnt be supported in a form of another edition. Love the guys work but greed is not a flattering thing anyone should get behind. No matter how much you like/collect the artist. This particular run is a disgrace and a money grab. I wont support that and neither should you. Imagine you are a graphics designer and was contracted by a company to make them something as simple as a logo. You make the logo and your work is done. You get hired by another company and take the same logo and slap different colors on it and try and sell that to the new company for a more expensive price. Do not think that would go to well. No different with this drop. This re print is even more expensive then the original print.

BAST Piggy, by davievegas on Feb 7, 2018 0:11:51 GMT 1, I find it funny that people keep down playing Basts value. His new prints don't even compare to his old ones. Inflation is real and its what people will pay for it. You see that in his auctions now a days which his older prints are selling for $2k-4k. Imagine what his OGS go for in auction. His old prints like this one imo are worth much more then anything he drops now with his new-ish style. Why even waste your time selling this beauty here? Contact one of the auctions and make 3-4x the money then on here. People will drag anything/anyone under the mud for a deal. I don't think they're downplaying, but rather, not hyping. Here's the most recent Bast auction results... Not exactly earth shattering. Mickey regular version out of 100 sold for $1900 at auction. People on here complain when that same print is being sold for more then $800-$900. Don't believe me? Go look up Bast Mickey threads on here. IF someone could get $1900 or even $1500 for the regular Bast - Mickey version on here, you would see people coming out of the wood works to sell them. Problem is this board is ALL about down playing artists so that they can get a better deal or a steal. God forbid someone asks for a price that THEY think its worth for them to sell it. For all you know this guy bought this print for that price framed and all. I would not sell it for any less either. These other prints on this specific auction were never popular. Finster and Mickey are the only ones that should be talked about in this auction.

New Pose Print?, by davievegas on Feb 6, 2018 23:51:18 GMT 1, This is unfortunately why I stopped collecting Pose. Tired of the same image that I loved to be turned into diff color ways a year later. Whats the point of buying a print that is going to be reprinted in a diff color way next year. No thanks. He has been doing this for a 1-2 years now. Shame. This was my gripe way back then and it fell on deaf ears because of his buzz. I don't get this. If you're a fan of Pose, you know he does originals in different color ways as well... So your comparing originals in diff colorways to prints or even comparing them to Hpms? Come on now. You know better. 1/1 or even x/8 with his HPMS are fine because of the limited edition size or because its an OG. I have been collecting Pose since he was making Hello Kitty art from his pop up show (I bought for my niece). ANYONE would be pissed at an artist who keeps selling the same damn image in reprints. This is why artists like Eelus fell off hype and value wise. Same crap Eelus did and got burned with seems to be spreading. Plenty of naive people buying buying and buying some more.
I am not one of them. Its called being smart. Plus, his "landscape" new-ish prints are not my cup of tea. Burn, Blot, Dude were his best imo. As a collector of all of those YES. I am pissed as well about this reprint. Changing the color and trying to tell me that makes it ok is silly. Tell that to people who bought the original image or had to spend much more then cost on an image they "THOUGHT" was an edition of 100. Not hard to make diff images. Problem is, Pose has seemed to go away from what made him so popular. Hence why he keeps trying to sell the reprinted images of what was his most popular selling images to date. Just more proof.

New Pose Print?, by davievegas on Feb 6, 2018 23:25:21 GMT 1, I'm a huge Pose fan, been collecting his prints since the first Blot release, but I'm not a fan of him re-releasing previous pieces in new colorways. IMO, he needs to slow down his release schedule and stop the reprints. He's got so many pieces to choose from, why revisit old stuff? This is unfortunately why I stopped collecting Pose. Penny - "Bowie" - Newest Release, by davievegas on Sept 28, 2017 0:03:37 GMT 1, Exact composition of Snipts Jagger piece. Penny could of at least used a multi faced portrait that was a different composition. Guess he was too lazy or figured no one would notice the blatant style jack? His execution is even sloppy. Poor fade...harsh lines bleeding into other lines. Smh Is it not perfectly perceivable that Penny has decided upon the image for this piece without ever seeing that piece by snipt?
You could say that if his new style was not almost spot on to another artists. Its also not far off to think penny saw a buzzing US artist and figured most Uk collectors would say the same thing. This new style is in question here. Not the image.

Penny - "Bowie" - Newest Release, by davievegas on Sept 27, 2017 23:35:47 GMT 1, Looks like penny is stealing other artists style and calling it his own now? I know of an artist here in Las Vegas that has been doing this exact multifaced portrait style for awhile now. Starting to get a nice buzz. This reminds me of the Jagger piece that snipt made. Just a different medium. Such a laugh. Seems people steal in art like they do in music. We saw how far that got Alec Monopoly. No career anymore once he was called out.

New Pose "Doll" green, by davievegas on Aug 23, 2017 22:12:03 GMT 1, An hpm is different than a hand finished print. Stands for hand painted multiple and pose often makes small editions of painted and sprayed works. Typically around $1500 for his I believe. Pose HPM's are right around $2500. Hand finished usually 600, regular edition 500. Got HFM and HPM mixed up. Your right nick . I remember when pose HPMs were $1800. I have seen plenty for sale on ebay over time and people have been listing them for under cost so maybe they are even harder to sell.

New Pose "Doll" green, by davievegas on Aug 23, 2017 20:25:43 GMT 1, Love pose's artwork, but becoming worried about his output. He's released so many prints with high editions these past few years I have trouble believeing they will hold their value. I'm more then happy to shell out 500$ for his multiples as POPINK is such a great publisher, but it's becoming harder to justify that price point. At this point it makes much more sense to wait out for an OG or hpm around 1-2k as he's now got thousands of these prints in circulation. Not a dig on the quality of his art, as I think he's one of the few interesting new talents to come to scene these past few years. I agree 100%. Might as well save for OGS or HPMS. I only have HPMS of his. Buying the regular version for $100 less was never an option for me personally. Unless I LOVE the image and hpms are sold out, maybe id think about it.

Invader LED Print, by davievegas on Aug 23, 2017 20:21:52 GMT 1, Totally agree, people have gone mad. Contrary to what davievegas thinks I have no interest in this but do have interest in art as not part of this hype train but very happily got my hands on a personal Paul Insect grail. I have nothing personally against you. You do not agree that is fine. Your outlook on my purpose is just off that is all. I will leave it at that. I was going to go for this print but after all this confusion and time problems It wont be worth it for me. Shame for potential US buyers that is all. Its mainly conversation man.

Invader LED Print, by davievegas on Aug 23, 2017 20:18:30 GMT 1, It is not just a print. Its owning a piece of history. This comment shows me you are emotionally detached to art or who you like to collect. You on the right board? You have been on this board about a year according to your join date so maybe this is all new to you. This board is all about art opinions/discussion. You obviously are not on the right board if you think art conversation is rare. Not at all it just seems that every conversation you have on here is just full of bitterness. Just chill, no personal attack (unlike yours!). If you like the print you'll stay up . I obviously appreciate art more than you as my choices in art are not based on timezone releases. If I want to go for a piece I will and not whine on a forum. Wow. Strange way of thinking. So if people have opinions about release drops/dates or how they do it even though it favors others is bitterness? Just utter nonsense. Your thought perception is all sorts of defensive. I am not going to stop having conversation on here because of your thought process. That is like trying to help you if you had bad self esteem. Its called Self Esteem. If you do not like my responses then don't respond. Very simple. I do not sit here and stare at your past responses and decide to spew my thoughts on the meaning of your comments like the meaning is hidden is some code needing to be cracked. Who has that much time in there day?

New Pose "Doll" green, by davievegas on Aug 23, 2017 20:00:30 GMT 1, I stay away from releases with the same image. It devalues the original Pose - Doll image that buyers purchased thinking these were going to be the only 100 of this image. I feel artists that do this have nothing new to release and its a money grab. I feel for the collectors here. I have started to collect Pose less because his images are either rehashed images or images that are not of my liking because of his direction. Eelus has been doing this and you see the way his career is going. While I understand your point of view, maybe look at it from the artists perspective. The original Doll 3 print was released via Jonathan Levine, but after both JLG & Pose's first edition (Rinse and Repeat) and POP!NK & Pose's first edition (Blot). Seeing as how POP!NK has done all other editions, I am guessing he wished this would have been done by them. So he updated it, changed the colors and produced something that looks way better than the first Doll 3 edition. Just my opinion and interpretation of it though. I respect your opinion. It was just mine. I do not like images that are done more then once with such small adjustments. Color change and pop ink making them with higher quality is not enough for me to fall for it. Mr Brainwash does this ALL the time and even though he sells out, the rehashed images do not always do better then the original or even look as good. Its great for people to collect an image they never bought before, but that would be the only positive outlook for me with rehashed images.

Invader LED Print, by davievegas on Aug 23, 2017 19:57:46 GMT 1, Christ there are some bitter people out there. It's just a fuckin print It is not just a print.

Invader LED Print, by davievegas on Aug 23, 2017 19:47:09 GMT 1, Why? Well, I imagine not many in the US are going to stay up all damn night and day unless you do not work. This is just a nightmare for potential US buyers. This is normal for BST timezone buyers. They do not have to stay up all night and day and hit f5 100,000 times in hope it drops at some certain time. This is just insane to be honest. Another reason I have never collected Invader. The interest was never worth the reward. Getting this print will be like hitting the lottery sp to speak. IF Invader's prices were not going through the roof, this would not be an interest for most. Landing this print can pay off some debt to be honest. Getting this print in general is gonna be almost impossible. Potential US buyers have a better chance betting Conor Mcgregor vs Mayweather lol. Laz mentioned it will be in the afternoon, earliest being noon BST which is 6AM central time... which is when I am up anyways. They also stated that they will release the drop time via social media so there isn't a need to be up hours before the drop if you're west of CST and concerned about sleep. Furthermore, waiting in an air conditioned room, with a TV, smartphone, netflicks, coffee and snacks plus your hot wife/gf/bf laying beside you while you wait to purchase a print that can be (in your perspective) flipped to potentially rid yourself of debt sounds like a first world "problem" to be honest. It's just a matter of perspective I guess. I, for one, will try my luck and if acquired will frame and hang on my family room wall above the couch. I am blessed and grateful to be in a position to even try my luck on acquiring this print. Would you prefer a completely in-store release at Laz instead of online? Once again for whatever reason, people like you decide to attempt to decipher peoples comments like there is a hidden message in it. Who said I want this print to flip it? Who said I have debt? I don't have any debt but thanks for trying to take what I said and make it about me even though this conversation is about potential US buyers. Not once have I flipped anything on here in the 4 years being on this board. Think i have successfully sold maybe 1 or 2 prints on here for either cost or market value. Hate to say this but 99% of the people going for this print are going to try and flip it. That is just common sense. Actual collectors who will frame this is the 1%. Why you say? Because his prices are dumb insane. If his value never went through the roof, the hype would not be like it is. Since I have never purchased an Invader before, buy and hang on the wall would be the ONLY reason to collect him for me. I have never had a successful chance to buy an invader. I tried to purchase a couple kits of his over time but never had a chance even when he had a release time/date with nothing random. Crashing pages (Which we all have grown a custom too), oversold with refunds etc.

New Pose "Doll" green, by davievegas on Aug 23, 2017 19:36:21 GMT 1, I stay away from releases with the same image.

Invader LED Print, by davievegas on Aug 23, 2017 19:28:24 GMT 1, Of course I do but this drop is not like other drops. Most UK drops are possible because there is a specific time. I do not go for random drops like this. It is not worth my time or sleep tbh. Specific drop times/dates are how most releases are in which I collect what I like whenI know its coming. This drop is already a disaster. People who have never collected an invader piece should be allowed over previous collectors. That is what Nick Walker does and that is why I have mad respect for artists like that. If you have never collected a certain artist and buy his/her work, they give you the print over previous collectors if it over sold. Mad respect. I think artists with huge demand should have strange drops that limit the potential buyers all rushing in at once. Those who put in the most effort should be more deserving. Unfortunately the ones who get prints like this NEVER are the ones who have been waiting all day with no sleep because they were up 24 hours for something like this. All it takes is them going to take a piss and they missed it.

Invader LED Print, by davievegas on Aug 23, 2017 19:16:29 GMT 1, Anyone know if its BST? If so, how does this work for people in the US since its random? This seems like it will be impossible for possible US buyers. Yes, the gallery in which it's being released is in BST, just simply convert it to your timezone.
