Jonas Wood • Bromeliad Print, by nighthawk on Mar 15, 2020 14:07:22 GMT 1, Museum raising board? Better than the usual heavy weight paper print material? Yes, I believe so. Still paper (it's not an actual board), but thicker for sure. Don't know if they'd be rolled or sent flat, but the shipping they're charging is next to nothing!

Javier Calleja 🇪🇸 Málaga, Spain • Drawings • Sculture, by nighthawk on Feb 13, 2020 17:15:27 GMT 1, Of course it sold on IG! Like others have mentioned, he has a HUGE following and is one of the most in-demand artists of the moment (whether you like him or not)!
And that auction work is terrible! Those Gokita's on the other hand are going to soar!

Your latest Art Purchase?, by nighthawk on Feb 10, 2020 21:30:55 GMT 1, Unusual question but does anyone know if there would there be any shipping problems regarding importing (in this case art) from China at the moment amid the viral crisis? It is said that a virus cannot survive in the open air for one day. So there could be no infection through a parcel... But as I talked to people living there, they are extending the holidays and today the whole country is half stopped... According to this article, the virus "may" live up to nine days on surfaces.

Oli Epp 🇬🇧 Post-Digital Pop • New Painting • Art For Sale, by nighthawk on Dec 15, 2019 18:20:25 GMT 1, Notice how I never mentioned anything about the artist? Just annoyed print buyers think they deserve the red carpet. So why have you made so many responses in the 'oli' thread?
I’ll agree with you there (red carpet) 😂

Not a bad resume so far. So yeah, IMO I don’t think you can really chalk him up as a “UAA artist”.

Oli Epp 🇬🇧 Post-Digital Pop • New Painting • Art For Sale, by nighthawk on Dec 15, 2019 18:06:43 GMT 1, Which fairs please? This he is not. He may have started that way (very briefly), but now his paintings are going into some pretty big collections. Unlike Pejac, he’s actually repped by galleries, and shown at the fairs. Time will tell, but for a young artist, he’s off to a strong start.
Off the top of my head...
Untitled (Art Basel Miami, 2018) and ART021 Shanghai Contemporary Art Fair, 2019.
Maybe more?

Oli Epp 🇬🇧 Post-Digital Pop • New Painting • Art For Sale, by nighthawk on Dec 15, 2019 17:53:31 GMT 1, I’ve been following Oli since Multitasking and while I enjoy his work, I believe he’s another UAA/IG hype artist. I don’t have the time or patience to sit around firing off emails and DMs hoping to get special treatment.

Jason Revok 🇺🇸 Graffiti Artist • Print Release • For Sale, by nighthawk on Nov 22, 2019 20:30:53 GMT 1, I'm selling the set (individually) as we simply don't have the wall space. Having owned a lot of his work, I can say without a doubt that pics don't do these justice - they sine/are almost fluorescent in person!
Description: 12 Colors Hand Pulled Screen Prints on Coventry Rag Archival Paper Size: 36" x 36" (92 cm x 92 cm) Edition: 50
Selling for $400 each (buyer pays fees and shipping) *This is cost price which was never available to the public for individual print purchase (you had to buy the set). *FYI - cheapest on eBay for x2 the price *Happy to mark low value for anyone who needs that!

Javier Calleja 🇪🇸 Málaga, Spain • Drawings • Sculture, by nighthawk on Nov 14, 2019 2:05:29 GMT 1, Disappointing. Must be the season. Was expecting 100k+ tbh. That’s way too high lol but they certainly ended strong. 32.5k inclusive of buyer premium. These were likely 10k or so from source. Wonder if the profit margin after taxes is worth getting b-listed. These ended just shy of where I predicted but I attribute that to the season and the auction. Few sellers certainly not sleeping happy tonight. Josh sperling finished strong too. 32.5k inclusive of BP.
That 2017 Javier would have been about €3K, (not $10K), at source. Not sure on the 2018.
Overall strong result for Javier as neither one of those are amazing works.

Pejac - Yin-Yang, by nighthawk on Jul 17, 2019 18:41:24 GMT 1, Not too sure on the specifics, but in my experience, some prints get flagged for import info, while others don’t. There’s no rhyme or reason to it, but anything getting up there in price (+$2.5K), runs the risk of being held up. Yes, they seem to want your SS, but It’s a very small fee, as someone pointed out that there’s no real duty (or tax) on importing art in to the USA.
