Who is this then…, by astbury on Apr 15, 2024 11:44:35 GMT 1, How many AP's have they done? I don't know, but although I like it I think I'll cancel the order. They saw that it works and now they want to earn as much as possible .... Agreed, I ordered and will also cancel. It’s one thing selling a few a/p’s but this is taking the piss.
I imagine he’s thought he could have sold 100 but truth is the edition 50 at £50 was what made it sell quickly.

Invader x Rubiks Cube , by astbury on Mar 13, 2024 15:12:33 GMT 1, Picked up a small acrylic box that fits the cube perfect (.2mm either side) off amazon. There's a little circular mould at the bottom of the case that slightly elevates it but I think it still does the job! Can't imagine it'll damage it / indent. Looks great, well done.

Ai Weiwei Guardian AA Timed Editions, by astbury on Feb 19, 2024 10:44:05 GMT 1, Bumped on the above question. Any idea what the final edition size is? Can’t find the info anywhere. Thank you Probably easier to ask on the AA discord group or have a little patience and it will be on their site in due course.
Edit... Just checked and the information you need is already on the AA website.
No aimed particularly to you but I can never understand people asking questions here which they could Google or look for themselves.

Banksy Happy Chopper Print, by astbury on Dec 19, 2023 12:16:50 GMT 1, Some more close ups of the signature and the Di-Faced tenner. It looks to me like this COA has been signed using a thin-mobbed Sharpie, and not a ball point pen. You can see in the image of the tenner that it is stapled on and that the tenner is torn. I hope this clarifies some of the doubts being casts here. For anyone interested, here’s the bio of this print. A friend of a friend called Jim purchased it in 2003 (at Santa’s Grotto I believe, but I’m not 100% sure about that). He then sold gave it to my friend Ollie Learmonth who was opening a vintage furniture store in Brighton called In My Room. I went to the opening of Ollie’s shop in Summer 2004 where I saw the print and bought it for £80. It then stayed on the back wall of the shop for over a year because I forgot that I’d bought it. Ollie reminded me and so I picked it up a few weeks later. It hung in the hall of my flat in Hackney until 2008, when I took it to Pest Control because Ollie told me that it was now worth some money. Once the print was authenticated I had it framed in Hackney by Pendragon Framers just off Hackney Road. It then went back in the wall in its brand new museum grade frame in my flat where it stayed until 2015. Since then it has been stored securely in North London as I now live in Spain and didn’t want to bring it with me. I considered selling it in 2018 and it was consigned to Graffik Gallery in Westbourne Grove. No concerns were raised by anyone at the gallery about its authenticity. In the end I decided not to sell because I love it. However, now is the right moment for me to sell. I have my reasons, which are personal and not to be shared here. I have to confess that it didn’t occur to me for a moment that I couldn’t / shouldn’t trust the people at PC when I took my print down to their offices in 2008. If there is no trust in the institution that is authenticating these prints, where does that leave us - buyers and sellers? What difference will another (potentially fake) form of authentication make? Regardless I wrote to PC this morning to ask them what the protocol is to authenticate my authentication. Hopefully they will at least respond. I will update when I can. I was blissfully unaware of any fraud perpetrated by staff at PC. When did this happen? What happened to those responsible? This is not popular on the forum due to many closely connected people in the forum here and because an other artist called out the fraud (he didn't say his reasons ) but in 2 1/2 years neither Sotheby's nor Banksy have responded or proven the allegations wrong. But they are successful in managing to evade justice. Not a single expert in this forum can prove the allegations wrong. creativefolk.co.uk/jps-bursts-the-balloon-on-banksy-and-sothebys/PS: no, I'm NOT JPS , I'm his wife. Does your husband (JPS) know how obsessed you are with this forum?

Banksy Placards, by astbury on Nov 28, 2023 23:25:03 GMT 1, Every single person on this forum with an ounce of integrity will advise you not to purchase any of these off eBay (and apparently now UAS and Mason Storm 🤦🏻♂️🙄) For clarity we are not selling ours, as it was a gift all we were doing was showing the difference between a fake and genuine.. what ever your thoughts are, don’t care…. So, to clarify we are not selling our piece, and actually Mason is a lovely person…. So to clarify, yours is a fake made VERY recently by Mason Storm and the other is ?

2021 Mentis Statum X LoneleyFarmer Shirt , by astbury on Nov 26, 2023 10:13:14 GMT 1, We apologise to Mentis Statum for jumping on this post, to lose our shit, but don’t like to see charities being used. But we don’t apologise losing our shit, if you don’t want to buy the art we sell from us that is cool, but too constantly post negative comments following one of our posts is just annoying, we should rise above it and ignore it, as said before on here, no one knows what is happening behind the forum! With out too much detail as some on here don’t warrant an explanation, but we set up the gallery following the death of my father, this week we also buried our grandma! Our mental health is a struggle, but the art world has helped, and It’s not about the money, but supporting local and emerging artists, money comes last. Since starting we have received great support and met some lovely people! There are so many amazing artists out there! Sorry for poor English, perhaps I should have got this proof read before posting?!?? Finally, just have a think before posting negative comments on here, yes I have done it, and apologised! We can change this forum for the better! Thanks to all on here whether you have been nice to us or not, it just makes us stronger, and more determined to succeed! Have a great Sunday and give this people you love a hug, tell them you love them as they are not around for ever! 🫶🏻 I wonder as your post was initially about if the OP was giving the profit on the T-shirt to the charity, whether you were going to give the profit you made on the Harland Millers you’ve been selling (in different times these could have sold for double) to the charity they were sold to support?
People in glass houses…

lots for sale!, by astbury on Oct 13, 2023 10:29:02 GMT 1, They never had it for £7,500 is my guess, it was a ploy to get everyone on here to think ‘wow, that’s cheap, I bet they have lots of other great stuff for sale that’s also cheap’. They don’t. As someone said earlier, a great way to alienate potential customers, even if they are only selling stuff from under their bed. think you are right... urbanartstore.co.uk/art-for-sale/ols/products/harland-miller-hates-outta-date--bluehe's put one up at £9k now haha! but why would anyone buy that, MINES AVAILABLE FOR £8999!!!!!! Surely if he has found another one (of only 125) under the bed he should be offering it to concrete jungle for the £7500 that he sold him one for!

Banksy Print, Canvas, WANTED, by astbury on Oct 8, 2023 0:16:08 GMT 1, Furthermore, you forgot to obscure the print number. Congratulations for permanently tainting Monkey Queen 153 of 750 by associating it with a Bitcoin lottery scam . Furthermore you left a visible address on an envelope in the background that's located in High Wycombe United Kingdom.. Are you sure you are in Canada? The High Wycombe address is for Lance Calder who said on here he'd sold them the print

Ai Weiwei - In Search of Humanity, by astbury on Jul 5, 2023 17:35:49 GMT 1, This is awful, looks cheap AF.
Putting pressure on the purchaser by reminding them it has a waiting list is a cheap move too. People bought the orange frosted vase not this boiled sweet version. Obviously less money to produce this one, I don’t buy the Ai Weiwei changed the design BS.

INVADER, by astbury on May 29, 2023 16:25:34 GMT 1, I’m guessing 34FineArt aren’t actually a real gallery judging by the website and inventory. Their (assuming there’s more than one person) tagline is “Art for the Concerning art collector” That should probably read “discerning”. dries2018 should pay you to proof read the site.
