RETNA New Edition , by Poster Bob on Apr 10, 2024 15:18:28 GMT 1, The pricing is very optimistic, and I agree that his behavior is a major deterrent. I had thought that this release was already done and dusted, but certainly not sold out, as I received a pre-order link 45 days ago. We can assume that they were unable to sell out the release having offered the print to every person who had previously bought a Retna print from them. If you’re after a profit stay away. If you’re after a Retna, and have more money, now is certainly the time to take advantage of the opportunity to buy an original for less than cost.

Harland Miller’s market problems , by Poster Bob on Apr 8, 2024 18:30:32 GMT 1, I’ve been closely following lots of artists and auctions and I’d say your ‘most work is down 50%’ comment is baseless. Can you provide evidence for your 50% reference? After I receive your detailed analysis on Harland Miller bud.

Harland Miller’s market problems , by Poster Bob on Apr 8, 2024 16:49:06 GMT 1, Harland Miller does not have problems in addition to those of the general market. Most work is down 50% or more compared to all-time highs. This is a non-penguin work, nothing much to look at, and in the best case couldn’t see it breaking 6 figures. The idea that his market is down more than anyone else’s, and that amateurish copycats are eating up his market are baseless.

Damien Hirst Camino Real , by Poster Bob on Mar 26, 2024 16:07:48 GMT 1, One of these Richter Cage 2's is flying at Christies - currently at £14,000 with a few hours to go here Flop at a £14k hammer that stalled. Still better than the disastrous performance at Phillips for the same series in January!

Looking for Empresses - Wu Zetian, by Poster Bob on Mar 22, 2024 19:52:55 GMT 1, What are gallery prices, what are you looking to pay, and where are you located? All of this information will make it much easier for you to purchase the item. The cheapest one that I see on EBay is £2,750 with best offers enabled.

George Condo 🇺🇸 New Print Release • Print For Sale, by Poster Bob on Mar 21, 2024 13:35:59 GMT 1, “ I’m delighted to share that we’re already working on our next collaboration with George Condo, another limited edition that will launch within the next 12 months.” - AA If this is an actual quote, then might want to link the source. If it is not an actual quote, and you purposely made it appear so and threw it in to this pack of wild hyenas, that's probably a bit irresponsible. It is already being taken as truth and thrown around in other threads... Calm down Karen. It’s a real quote. The issue here is that it is down the road. It mentions “another limited edition”, so one image, when there were three to chose from this time. Anyone with a favored status may not like the image. On top of that, there’s a guaranteed price increase of at least 10-20% if the edition size stays the same.

Wanted: George Condo "Portrait and Head", by Poster Bob on Mar 20, 2024 21:35:09 GMT 1, There will be a two-year race to the bottom on Artsy, then initially poor auction results, upper bound by the lowest price of the previously unsold glut. But when that’s all over they’ll go for silly sums.

Damien Hirst Camino Real , by Poster Bob on Mar 6, 2024 19:51:40 GMT 1, I haven't seen the Richters come up much. Wish I had some cash laying around (and that I lived in the UK). I love it. Good luck with the sale. These Richters come up at just about every editions sale on Christies, Sotheby's and Phillips. In January the sold price range was from $11,302- $12,109 The market certainly is awful overall, but you must be aware of seasonality, and that proximity to Christmas is an indicator of when not to sell.

George Condo 🇺🇸 New Print Release • Print For Sale, by Poster Bob on Mar 6, 2024 16:54:54 GMT 1, sure Ah, you’re the conspiracy type. I’ve opined having been told by reputable collectors that they’ve been allocated prints. If you want to put on your tin-foil hat it’s up to you.

George Condo 🇺🇸 New Print Release • Print For Sale, by Poster Bob on Mar 6, 2024 15:08:53 GMT 1, These havent been allocated Either prove it here or accept that nobody has bagged one yet They are still actively interviewing and processing Lots of big talk here and elsewhere but no action that I can see " a mate got one" isnt proof either They absolutely have made allocations to people. That is not to say however that all allocations have been made.

FAKE STIK LA2 been pushed around, stay well clear , by Poster Bob on Mar 6, 2024 14:37:35 GMT 1, Whatever he claims, or you assume, he is trying to do, he is indefensibly and intentionally ignoring authentification requests once receiving pictures of works. This puts his entire image of a man promoting public works, for the people, and his calling out RYCA into question. If you’re so close to him, have a word. No serious art collector in their right mind would touch one one his works given his behavior and the innate risk of him disowning a work. In some cases Pest Control take 2+ years to issue COA's. I have a high amount of confidence that Stik is being being extremely meticulous about this process. In the meantime I would stay away from RYCA counterfeits. Please explain to us why you have such a high degree of confidence in him, what inside knowledge you have, and how you can excuse ignoring emails for FIVE years. I’m speaking about original works, from a London-based artist, so a drop-in for an inspection would take minutes.

FAKE STIK LA2 been pushed around, stay well clear , by Poster Bob on Mar 6, 2024 11:12:48 GMT 1, Well, ryca_artist claims it is legit. Ps: Won't reply to any answers , just thought this belonged here. Lol thats ok then. Probably going to work out fine as long as the printer backs it. Good luck to anyone rellying on a printer over the artist, genius move. RYCA seems to have lost his mind and decided he is in charge of STIk authentication. That wont really help anyone. Good luck if youve been buying anything on that poor advice, youll be needing it. Many people are still waiting for your pal Stik to reply to polite authentication requests that he continues to ignore for years. He’s probably the best source for print authentication. We have to wonder why he continues to just accumulate information on the works out there and then ignore collectors afterwards.

Damien Hirst empresses full set, by Poster Bob on Mar 1, 2024 12:51:49 GMT 1, You are very unlikely to obtain offers when your asking price is astronomically high, at this time, at least 50% higher than the market price on a good day. You’re asking more for 3 than someone sold 5 for.

Damien Hirst empresses full set, by Poster Bob on Mar 1, 2024 12:38:04 GMT 1, I have the following 3 Empress pieces for sale, H10-3 Theodora H10-1 - Wu Zetian H10-4 Suiko Asking £8,825 for three plus shipping. Open to offers. It doesn’t feel like you did any research on current prices before you made this post. I’d advise that you do so, or be prepared to hold onto them for a long time before you can achieve such a sum.

Harland Miller • Who Cares Wins Print, by Poster Bob on Feb 22, 2024 11:56:44 GMT 1, Ok, where to start. So if this was priced at 120k, would you be writing..."I can't believe these are 120k now"? People can ask whatever they want. Selling is a different thing. Ps. I have one, but I'm also in the real world. PPs. If a single person on here is willing to pay 12k please DM me. . If anyone is looking to get rid and is pricing sensibly please DM me. I am also open to swaps so maybe you can trade to something a bit more liquid.. DM's open like I said. Define “sensibly

Damien Hirst Secret Garden Painting Print release, by Poster Bob on Feb 14, 2024 15:23:05 GMT 1, Where the land meets the sea - ugly drop yet selling at almost +50% on secondary only 3 days ago. For sure we will see minimum 2x on these secret garden ones that are way more relatable to the mainstream. Sorry some of you sulkers missed out…. WOW - that is a great sale. I see the seller was from the UK and not the US. The release price from Heni was $3,500, which works out at £2,800. Then there is 20% vat @ £560 = £3,360 plus approx £60 for delivery, so the total cost for the seller was £3,420. This was a sale on eBay UK, so as this sold for £3,950, the eBay UK fee is £505.90, which means the buyer gets £3,440.10. The seller made a profit of £24.10. 😉You’re right - I am gutted to have missed out. I would have assumed that the seller, like anyone in their right mind, only lists items when offered a 70% (or more) off of fees promotion. If you combine that, with the maximum fee cap of £250, you can assume that they only paid £75 in fees if the item sold for the full asking price.

Harland Miller Hate's Outta Date • 2017 & 2022, by Poster Bob on Feb 14, 2024 15:03:59 GMT 1, Wow, his market really has gone soft thanks to all the copycat artists doing Penguins. We’re all waiting with bated breath to hear your detailed analysis which breaks down the additional percentage decrease in Miller’s market due to copycats, against the changes in the market base overall. It’s going to be riveting.

Thumbs up on examining all of the evidence and providing the necessary background and caveats. I’d normally provide some to the above, but with this audience it’s mostly a waste of time.

Hilary Pecis , by Poster Bob on Feb 9, 2024 10:45:32 GMT 1, Their standard model is to tier with the price lowest at the dinner ($6,500), then higher for the first public tranche ($7,500), which quickly jumps again ($10,000), and as a result (especially in this market), doesn’t sell out ($12,500). As others have mentioned, the print appears odd, it’s not the best representation of her work, and the price is high for the image. I don’t waste time inquiring about their party releases and advise that no one else does.
