Banksy • Rodeo Girl • GIFT Print, by daniel3886 on Nov 27, 2019 14:20:35 GMT 1, Is that a big arse crease in the middle too?
Could be wrong but I think it’s the reflection of the person taking the photo.

TateWard • Art Auctions 🇬🇧, by daniel3886 on Nov 25, 2019 13:29:19 GMT 1, Had a look at the online catalogue last night - someone has managed to get all 3 GDP prints together and selling as a job lot I'm curious as to why an auction house would want to accept unauthenticated works that can be easily faked. Always best to be curious before being furious!! We are 100% confident of the authenticity of these works the consigner is a well known collector to us and within the community I was actually invited to go with him myself but unfortunately couldn’t make it. These type of works will not be blindly accepted from anyone as with all works consigners should expect to be held to the high levels of provenance and where in doubt works will not be accepted. We stand behind each piece we sell and interested buyers are welcome to enquire on the provenance of any piece they’re interested in.
There are 27 hours left to bid, lots of work still to bid on. Everything that has a bid will sell at that price so don’t miss out if there are works you’re interested in.
If you need any assistance on provenance/condition please contact Harry@tateward.com

Thoughts on Ryan Hewitt, by daniel3886 on Oct 26, 2019 11:57:30 GMT 1, I own a number of originals and they’re incredible imo. I don’t think the work translates very well to print. If he’d got the paint out and heavily hand finished them they could have worked better.

TateWard • Art Auctions 🇬🇧, by daniel3886 on Oct 24, 2019 18:07:14 GMT 1, Buyers are welcome to come and view works themselves in person at our storage facility to satisfy themselves with the condition of any piece. If they’re unable to do that then a condition report is available with where needed additional images and if the piece is of a value that warrants it video is available.
Best efforts are made to ensure that condition reports are fully comprehensive and can be relied on. Over the previous 3 sales we haven’t had a complaint that an item has been mis described.
I’ll be happy to help you personally and do the reports myself drop me a mail with the items you’re interested in.

TateWard • Art Auctions 🇬🇧, by daniel3886 on Oct 23, 2019 22:45:33 GMT 1, Consigners will be required to get work to us for cataloguing, photographing and for condition reports. As always we will help buyers satisfy themselves in regard to condition and provenance of any works they’re interested in. BP is 25% vat on hammer 5% and ARR 4% where applicable. Sellers commission is negotiable in line with size and value of consignment.
I know some other houses are happy for sellers to do their own condition reports and leave work with them. Logistically this is easier but our view is quality photography and impartial condition reports will encourage buyers to pay higher prices for works.

TateWard • Art Auctions 🇬🇧, by daniel3886 on Oct 2, 2019 15:34:10 GMT 1, Note able passed lots: Shrigley guitar and others, Mike Lee, katrin fridriks, various drans, failes, miss bugz, Jonas vote and sketch, richter heni, pejacs, harland millers. Some of these should have been consigned to higher-tier houses or wider online platform IMO.
Which online platforms are you thinking of? I’m open to expanding the 4 we already have: The Saleroom, invaluable, Artsy, and Live Auctioneers (new for this Auction)

TateWard • Art Auctions 🇬🇧, by daniel3886 on Oct 2, 2019 15:30:33 GMT 1, I agree, quite a few passes but the last few Banksy items did well.
Our sales are always going to have works that pass on the night. We are not taking work in in a way that guarantees we sell it as that doesn’t work for our sellers. Equally if a buyer doesn’t agree with the price they’re welcome to watch let it pass and contact us after to negotiate.
I’ve said before we are not bothered about selling 100% of the work. We are bothered about 100% of our clients being happy.

There are always opportunities like this at every auction. Only way to take advantage is to be registered and ready to bid.

TateWard • Art Auctions 🇬🇧, by daniel3886 on Sept 22, 2019 17:57:35 GMT 1, Thanks Dan, we’ve actually had similar amounts in our Apr and Jul auctions with both selling well. We also romped home in the best Urban Art Auction house poll (although I’m not letting it go to my head as voter turnout was about 18 LOL). Appreciate you adding our badge to the thread thanks. If you have time please pop down to the view and come and see the work. Also if you have any work you’d consider consigning drop me a line I’d be happy to help.

TateWard • Art Auctions 🇬🇧, by daniel3886 on Sept 22, 2019 17:39:05 GMT 1, HAs anyone ever bought from this auction house before? The prices seem VERY fair, if not low. However, there is very little in the way of provenance or authenticity mentioned on the lot pages, nor do there seem to be images of the actual artwork, so no way to tell if framed or not. Am I missing something? All works are accompanied by their coa’s If issued or relevant provenance documentation. Some items didn’t arrive in time to be photographed so we’ve had to use stock images in some cases. If you drop me a mail danny@tateward.com I’ll be happy to assist you with further images/video as needed and answer any questions on provenance.
Glad you like the selection of work and feel the pricing is fair as always with auctions there will be lots where you say “I’d have bought that”. Hope we can help you add something to your collection.
