Invader Artwork, VALUATION, by bullysonzx10r on Jan 23, 2022 22:26:15 GMT 1, Can anybody advise on current value? TIAโ๏ธ (silver) The gold at Maddox is being offered at ยฃ35k, and they have a Sane Blinky Pink for ยฃ25. Hope that helps
The market has lost its fucking mind. A gallery in NYC is trying to get north of 45k for one of the standard colors.
Iโve been looking for a set of three white background Aladdin Sane prints for a specific area in the house and was ready to put out 45-60K based on what I was seeing in the market even up until OCT last year. I love the image and invader. But do folks really think these will continue to increase like this? I legit could have sworn that I saw a gallery with avg 15-20K per print a few months back and thought โwell that seems healthyโ

Murakami NFT - an Invader derivate?, by bullysonzx10r on Jan 17, 2022 22:29:24 GMT 1, I have no idea what will happen with NFTs, and I definitely am a โcollectorโ who hopes that at some point the things Iโve liked by artists that move me will be worth more than I paid in the future so my child can reap some benefit when she sells dads goofy print and art collection, but I genuinely try to make sure everything I buy will make a wall or shelf. It doesnโt always happen, but I always try.
NFTs may make a wall if you were to use an electronic frame, which may be how folks are utilizing them? But to me it would likely just be something Iโd be chasing for pure collection satisfaction as opposed to the feel I get when I actually see the item sitting in my surroundings.
Iโm sure Iโll buy NFTs at some point and miss the ground floor profit that most are going to get, but Iโm just much more attracted to the physical tangibility of the art and antique items I surround myself with.

Invader Alert 2020 Print, by bullysonzx10r on Dec 9, 2021 22:48:01 GMT 1, There are quite a few sales/flip threads on here with this print, and I've always wanted to say this, so now I do: It's not a particularly good print.
Thank you for listening Couldn't agree more. I love Invader and would likely love this print if I owned it - but it's not that great of a print.
And this is coming from someone who owns a "Sea of Slime" Print - which is also a really weak Invader Print - That's right, I'll hate on myself too!!!

Pejac enters NFT, by bullysonzx10r on Nov 26, 2021 3:42:30 GMT 1, For me, I try my hardest to only buy art that Iโll display. Sure Iโve got a flat folder, but if it isnโt making a wall or shelf, I try not to just buy for investment value.
NFTsโฆ ehhh.

Jean-Michel Basquiat ๐บ๐ธ Brooklyn, New York โข Graffiti Art , by bullysonzx10r on Feb 14, 2019 3:52:49 GMT 1, I had a chance to buy "Head" by the basquiat Estate in 2006 for $25K USD. I didn't have anywhere near the cash needed at the time.
The same Gallery has one available today for $100K USD.
I mean, I actually love that image, and I really enjoy the life and work of Basquiat, so while it wasn't "His vision" for the print, I'd still definitely display that piece proudly considering that his heart and soul went into painting that original image.

Invader Print, Original, WANTED, by bullysonzx10r on Jan 5, 2019 19:52:30 GMT 1, Looking for the latest invasion Kit IK18.
I had a deal with someone on ebay, but when they went to ship, it "fell off the roof of their car" and they refunded me the money.... I.E. He sold it to someone else for more.
It's too bad too, he was a watch seller and that's one of my other hobbies... :-)
I'm hoping to stay below $4K USD.
Thanks for the help! -- And BTW - if you do happen to help me out, just know that the piece will be opened and going on my wall and not stored away for the future flip.

Nan Goldin x Supreme, by bullysonzx10r on Mar 31, 2018 1:06:52 GMT 1, Just noticed that the latest Supreme collaboration was with Nan Goldin and she chose her images of LGBTQ nightlife. It's interesting to see that many haven't sold out and what that says about the Supreme crowd. I don't know that it's fair to say that it "says" anything about the Supreme crowd. I buy Supreme when I like what they put out, I.E. I don't try to flip anything I buy there. I wasn't a fan of this image, so I didn't buy it. But,that hold true for a lot of their pieces in general.

Hanksy Solo Show - NYC , by bullysonzx10r on Mar 20, 2015 16:01:56 GMT 1, In case there are any people from NYC on here, the golden ticket hunt is underway. Check out gothamist and @hanksynyc on instagram for clues. For the rest of us, should be fun to watch! So I've mentioned before that I'm friends with the guy who reps this artist, and I know I'm biased by liking hanksy, but this type of stuff is exactly why I think he's as cool as he is.
One day I was meeting up with my buddy and Him and Hanksy had just placed a new piece on the ground across the street, popped it "up for grabs" on the Hanksy IG page, and the three of us were literally a block away watching to see who would go and pick it up.
Now, think about the Street Art gallery openings/shows you've been to over the past few years. It's a pretty steady stream of 25-55 year old white guys, a few asian guys, and a few black guys, and usually a girl or two that isn't there to pick up a double for her boyfriend to flip (Sad but true, this is a pretty non-diverse grouping -- from my limited experience at least)
So with that in mind, I'm expecting to see a clone of the gallery scene stroll up and grab this original piece.
However, to my surprise, to young black kids (maybe 15) on skateboards ride up, grab the piece and start high fiving each other and then walk away looking at the piece as if it WAS a golden ticket.
That's why I like what Hanksy does. He brings people into art that maybe otherwise wouldn't be.s**t, I know when I was 15, even street art wasn't really something I had any interest in.

Hanksy Solo Show - NYC , by bullysonzx10r on Mar 13, 2015 18:52:54 GMT 1, Love some hanksy. He's a good dude, he did a short film series for The Hundreds where he went to different cities and hung out with local artists to see what they do, where they get up, and what motivates them.
Aside from that, he isn't taking himself too seriously.
I'll definitely be there, hoping to get a preview before it opens.

And, if that's the case, I wonder if it's true of misdirection to keep people from being disappointed in their lack of follow-through.

Banksy - Barbed wire balloon-print sold at auction?, by bullysonzx10r on Jan 25, 2015 18:49:39 GMT 1, 25K is not true. I've heard close to 3K Probably more like ยฃ50k than ยฃ3k On the secondary market they were looking for 50-75K... why would you think that the private sale from Banksy to collector would be 50K? That makes no sense at all.

Banksy Happy Chopper Print, by bullysonzx10r on Jan 25, 2015 18:48:38 GMT 1, Auctions very rarely represent the general public. Most auctions are dick measuring contests. The print would probably garner between 3.5K and 4K on the private market.

Invader โข Invasion Kits IK, by bullysonzx10r on Dec 12, 2014 21:24:05 GMT 1, Mine will definitely be opened and framed. I could give a shit about resale value.
My only question is... clear plexi(Or Perspex for you heathensorry -- europeans..) frame that is the size of the piece... or an actual frame job...
I kind of want it to live on my wall like it would on the streets..
