EINE • Shutterfont Prints & Canvas , by South Bound on Nov 25, 2014 18:17:06 GMT 1, I knew when I was offered a Gold Numbers that I would have to eventually get the A-Z, it was inevitable. Think I am gonna have to be patient on this one though. I could sell them all and get a canvas - but at the moment a full set is more appealing for some reason.
Well of you ever change your mind PM me (even if it is a year from now). Would love a shutterfront A-Z.

Good investment?, by South Bound on Nov 25, 2014 2:03:55 GMT 1, I read this thread and think that some confuse buying art in hopes it is a good investment and buying in hopes that they win the lottery. If you purchase a piece and re-sell it a few years down the road and make double your money then I consider that a good investment, you don't need buy a print for $500 and resell it for 50k to consider it well invested money.
So it really does not matter if your purchase art that costs $50 or $50,000, it's just a matter of how deep down the rabbit hole you want go. I have a ton of prints that I purchased for $250 and can resell right now for $500 - $600, I consider that money well invested.
But I also don't buy art in hope of riches. I just want to be happy with my surroundings and know that I can resell and upgrade my art becuase my current art has risen in value.

New Phlegm release, by South Bound on Nov 23, 2014 17:41:25 GMT 1, Chitown....Really? Is that the best you've got? Group all the "rebels" together and classify them as one? Wasn't that apartheid? PM me if you want to talk or second guess my "dungle"...
Rebels? Seriously??? Offering differing opinions??? Chitown only talks about flipping, how much money he makes, and insults people... If he quit boasting and actually tried to have a conversation, the people on here might actually be more receptive...
Rebel - definitely not. Class clown - better description.

POW Vhils print photos, by South Bound on Nov 22, 2014 22:29:12 GMT 1, Dunno, I am pretty new to his scene. I do know that he tends to focus on the homeless or poverty stricken. AHA... yes that is right, I remember reading that. The print is incredible, and the eyes are really a sight to behold... I don't think the photos do his prints justice.

POW Vhils print photos, by South Bound on Nov 22, 2014 22:11:46 GMT 1, I own the Unknown Icon, and must say it is gorgeous in person. Something about the eyes of the protagonist... they are sad yet wise... It really is beautiful... As I look at it more and more, I wonder whether it is Robin Williams... I am telling you it is in the eyes... does anyone know who the guy in the picture really is? S Dunno, I am pretty new to his scene. POW Vhils print photos, by South Bound on Nov 22, 2014 22:10:26 GMT 1, They probably won't be around long - after his last show in Lisbon he's got a new momentum - been a fan since before these prints... This years prints like Deform looked great too - www.alexandrefarto.com/index.php?page=shop
Would have loved any of those APs but especially "Deform". VHils style is just so fascinating. Very stark and surreal, "Nothing Last Forever" has a very apocalyptic feel to it. I cannot wait to see what he releases next.

Big fan as well, he does not get enough love on this forum... It's a shame.

SANDRA CHEVRIER PRINT RELEASE C.O.A GALLERY, by South Bound on Nov 22, 2014 21:36:31 GMT 1, Yes, it can actually be quite amusing reading his comments purposedly written to 'spite'. The sad thing is chitown thinks we are actually pissed, haha. We are just playing and laughing to ourselves along to his antics, in case he doesn't know... The fact that simple minded folk such as yourself feel the need to explain yourself shows how far under the skin I have gotten towards each and every one of you who can't resist making a fool of yourselves everytime my presence graces the boards. You guys are like dogs, ya know? Smack the s**t out of it and it comes back as a loyal obedient. Comical.
Don't tease me you dirty little girl.

POW Vhils print photos, by South Bound on Nov 22, 2014 21:29:12 GMT 1, 2 of the 3 went back up this past summer. I picked up one of the "Nothing Lasts Forever", it is pretty wild looking in person. Thanks - I thought these were all sold out, just wondered if they had just popped up...
POW re-released like 7 "nothing lasts forever" and the they were almost instantly listed as sold out. Then like 1 day later they reappeared, I guess people realized that they were not easily flipped. I watched them for like 2 months while I saved and no one ever bought them. Then I bought and zip they were almost all gone shortly after(I guess a few of us were watching).

Good investment?, by South Bound on Nov 22, 2014 3:57:25 GMT 1, There is some good advice here. Not gonna suggest any artists because outside the foolproof Banksy it is an artist by artist, piece by piece decision.
My recommendation: research, research, research. Hang out on the forum, read the threads. Comb thru the sales records you will find on various websites. Read as many contemporary art books as you can get your hands on. Take your time as it will refine your tastes. Take this information and buy the artist and the prints / originals you like and put them on your wall. Think long term not short term.
Again: research, research, research / but ultimately you have to like it and want to live with it.

SANDRA CHEVRIER PRINT RELEASE C.O.A GALLERY, by South Bound on Nov 21, 2014 17:34:04 GMT 1, Can we not just get everyone on here to ignore his comments and stop replies to anything he says, he will soon get bored. If someone does reply, then surely we can pm that person to explain the situation with the very sad and lonely troll that is chitownhero!!
But it is a bit of a guilty pleasure, because he is not very bright and it can be quite amusing.

Your latest Art Purchase?, by South Bound on Nov 19, 2014 2:46:07 GMT 1, Nice nothing like a bit of art to pick you up after a bad day I suspect that the people of Syria, amongst many others, do not share this view.
Wow that was out of nowhere.
Nice stuff Hanley... Very jealous, especially after seeing Eine's commision rate.
I agree with you robertjones.

There is so much Brit slang on here that I love that I am not 100% on the meaning so I would look like an ass using it myself. I need to start a translation thread

Jeremy Geddes, New print (timed release), by South Bound on Nov 17, 2014 23:19:59 GMT 1, Been a member on here off and on since early 2008. Know there's a lot of people still here who have been part of the forum for much longer than that, but have to say that during the last year or so I've noticed a steady decline in the quality of stuff being posted. As others have already stated I thought this is a place to discuss urban art, not to abuse other people at will and brag like a spoiled kid in the playground. This thread is just about as pathetic as I've ever seen. Sooner the donkeys who are bringing this place down catch themselves on or just leave (you are not wanted) the better. Time to seriously reflect..... Not all is lost, there have been and still are some great threads (won't name for fear of them being crashed) and some great members. It is unfortunate that a few can ruin a good thing

Sandra Chevrier prints, by South Bound on Nov 13, 2014 22:38:49 GMT 1, Reading all of the interest in Sandra makes me astounded how long her last series of prints took to sell out. I feel lucky now. The next show and round of prints will be a quick sell out from the looks of things If my memory's correct it took 3 or 4 hours to sell out the last edition:)
It looks like that is a thing of the past.
