'City Of Colours', by dismalandbland on Jun 4, 2018 12:33:03 GMT 1, I really like the perspective and colours on your work. You're an artist to really keep an eye on in my humble opinion. Can't wait to see what you do in the future. Dan paints 'light' as well as anyone I can think of in this scene, and, his work pings on the street and on paper / canvas, which isn't always the case with other artists.

London - Croydon, Part Street, by dismalandbland on May 24, 2018 14:06:50 GMT 1, Great work Dan.
I'm not fluent in any other language (perhaps not even in English). Do the oriental symbols actually mean anything or are they your interpretation / representation of a non-specific language?

For sale: Banksy, Swoon, Lichtenstein, Micallef, Kozyndan, by dismalandbland on Apr 23, 2018 9:44:39 GMT 1, Well, that's either a really big anomaly and someone got a huge bargain (unlikely), or, it's an invalid data point.
Unfortunately, one swallow does not make a Summer.

Did not sign my signed piece..., by dismalandbland on Apr 11, 2018 14:00:41 GMT 1, Prefab got back to me and is sending replacement plus an apology gift on Monday (after their weekends show). Still got love for Prefab, but ArtRepublic wont be getting my business again. That's a great response from the artist.
Shame the gallery didn't take the opportunity to sort this out and also exceed your expectations.

For Sale - Pejac Linea and Neate Lenticular, by dismalandbland on Mar 20, 2018 18:06:59 GMT 1, Hi all,
It's time to make a bit of room for new bits and pieces, so, up for sale are the following:
Pejac - Linea
Bought directly by me from the London show and professionally framed soon afterwards with a wooden frame and Tru Vue museum glass.
From the sold out edition of 200.
£1500.
Adam Neate - Orange and Blue Dimensional Portrait, Lenticular Edition 2013
Bought by me directly from Elms Lesters on release, framed by John Jones to Neate's specification.
66cm x 84cm x 5cm (framed)
From the sold out edition of 22.
Video from Elms as static photos do not do it justice.
Elms' hi-res photo can be found here
Open to reasonable offers. (The only other lenticular available from Elms is just under £4K. )
I am based just inside the M25, near to Watford and St Albans and make a good coffee / cup of tea. (We don't do hob nobs though.) I could also deliver within a reasonable distance.
Despite this being a relatively new account, I have been a parishioner of these parts since 2008 and can provide forum references if needed.

Banksy Golf Sale Print, by dismalandbland on Mar 12, 2018 22:26:43 GMT 1, I should have added, that, behind the immediate smirk of the Golf Sale sign, this piece (as much as any piece by Banksy for me) hits home.
With everything that we are seeing across the world by dictatorships at the moment, let alone the recent Chinese change of law to grant permanent presidency, this piece should stop and make us think.
A great piece that I think will hold its own when they write the Banksy history books.

Banksy Golf Sale Print, by dismalandbland on Mar 12, 2018 22:21:35 GMT 1, Nothing to worry about there.
Frame it out, get to a restorer for a very small restore job, or, just leave it as it as.
If I was buying at the moment, I certainly wouldn’t let any of that put me off.
Best of luck with the sale.

Peter Kennard 🇬🇧 Political Photomontage • Print Release , by dismalandbland on Apr 28, 2017 0:08:35 GMT 1, Yep - this one's a classic. Seems like a fair price to me. Can't believe it's not sold. People are paying twice this for some invaders. The world has gone fookin mad! Evidently, Peter Kennard did not invent collage, but, this is such an important piece.
Not only did it pave the way for the Crude Oils, but, it is the iconic image of a major piece of British social and political history.
In the rarefied art bubble that we, and this forum, operates, it's worth every penny of that, and, when art historians are looking back at this movement, it will, in my opinion, be held in even higher regard.

Banksy • Time Out Poster • Sydney, London, New York, by dismalandbland on Apr 21, 2017 18:37:18 GMT 1, Thanks for everyone's interest. I have updated the original post with some prices.
I've based these on ebay and a few other sources.
I know that some people may disagree with some of the pricing - that's okay. I often do when I look at some sales threads. As I say, that's okay. They just won't sell. Please don't clog up the thread with threats of graffiti based violence for mis-pricing! :-)
Thanks everyone for your interest.

Banksy • Time Out Poster • Sydney, London, New York, by dismalandbland on Apr 21, 2017 0:27:39 GMT 1, Ok, so clearly I misjudged the level of interest in these. I can't possibly reply to everyone who has asked for an indication of price.
I'll have to do some research and post some prices on the thread, hopefully tomorrow.
Thanks for all the interest so far.

Banksy • Time Out Poster • Sydney, London, New York, by dismalandbland on Apr 20, 2017 22:45:04 GMT 1, Evening all,
===================== [21/04 - 18:30]
Ok, I've received so many PMs (thank you), but the very vast majority all state variations of 'what price are you after?', so, it's evident that their aren't clear market prices for many of these. So, I've done a quick bit of research on ebay etc and have put prices below.
The market can decide if the prices are right. Prices are net to me, so P&P and PayPal fees on top.
No doubt some people will disagree with the prices I've suggested - that's okay, I often do too when looking at sales threads - but, please don't post on the thread, if they are priced wrong, they just won't sell. :-)
I would still prefer people to collect if possible. Again, I repeat, Hob Nobs will not be provided, but, I did notice half a packet of Maryland cookies in the cupboard today. They may still be available if you move quickly.
Thanks again for everyone's interest.
(I have a couple of other similar bits and pieces that I'll try and list over the weekend.)
=====================
Time for a long overdue portfolio clearance. These posters have all been stored flat in mylar sleeves, in a portfolio folder.
Although my current forum persona is relatively new and little used, I am a pre-CNH-gate member from pre 2008. I am very well known to some of the regulars. You never know, one of them might even pipe up and confirm that I'm a good egg. :-)
These are all on thin paper so are susceptible to the odd handling mark, but, from a quick check, none of them have any significant issues, such as rips or tears.
I have no idea on prices for most, so please just DM me and I'll get back to you.
(I am located close to Junction 6 of the M1 for anyone local who wanted to collect. For the avoidance of doubt, Hob Nobs will not be provided, but, a good cup of coffee can be.)
1. First up is the New York Time Out poster - both now sold. I have two of these. (Note, if you haven't seen these in the flesh, they are quite small.)
2. The Don't Panic Forgive Us Our Trespasses poster - both now sold.
3. Monkey Parliament from the Bristol Show - £850 each. One sold, one remains. Both brought by me from the museum on my second visit. (I was #8 in the queue on the opening day. Happy memories.) Excuse the flash reflection.
These frame up fantastically. I have attached a photo on the one we have hanging in our hallway. (The framed one is not for sale.)
4. Can't remember what this one is called, it's from the LA show and mimics the old Demi Moore photo. Only one of these. SOLD (I remembered, it's from the Barely Legal show in LA.)
5. Time Out London poster - £100 each. (One sold, one remaining.) I have two of these.
6. Exit Through the Gift Shop 'bus advert size' poster. Very nice this, but I can't see me getting around to framing it. SOLD - On reflection, this might not quite be the size of a bus stop poster. It is quite big though. Ask for dimensions if you are planning on putting it on a bus stop and are fussy about your border sizes.
7. The infamous skull and cross bones - I picked this up from PoW back in the day. I think it was one of the Paul Insect shows. As we all know this image is also seen in Banksy's studio in ETTGS. No idea. Offers.
8. Finally for this evening, the Banksy Cans poster from PoW - Now sold
I do not have receipts for any of these. It didn't cross my mind that I'd ever need them. I can guarantee that they are all genuine and perhaps a trusted member or two might confirm that I've been in and around the scene for a long time.
Happy to answer serious questions - but not stupid ones. :-)
