Damien Hirst Camino Real , by nobokov on Mar 6, 2024 19:47:12 GMT 1, I haven't seen the Richters come up much. Wish I had some cash laying around (and that I lived in the UK). I love it. Good luck with the sale. These Richters come up at just about every editions sale on Christies, Sotheby's and Phillips. In January the sold price range was from $11,302- $12,109

Dali and Erté works for sale., by nobokov on Mar 2, 2024 0:19:00 GMT 1, I don't why, but seeing Dali prints with Certificates of Authenticity issued without dates from a random company in Florida shouts fake to me.
Not to say that these are fake, but I would caution those interested to do their research and due diligence especially with Dali's prints.

Harland Miller 2024 Limited Edition Print, by nobokov on Feb 28, 2024 17:26:54 GMT 1, Don’t be ridiculous, you would have to be crazy to spend thousands on something as interchangeable as a print without thinking about the risk of losing money.. You only lose money if you sell it. You can also lose money if you buy it. Why is anyone still buying editions at this point?

Damien Hirst Secret Garden Painting Print release, by nobokov on Feb 18, 2024 14:30:48 GMT 1, Interesting insight from LJCal. I wonder how many dibond panels Heni have stored in their vault? There must be 1,000’s that they are charging people for. They even have the audacity to charge a release fee when you have been paying them $15 per month. leviathan.heni.com/heni-vault/ If I had to guess, I would guess that maybe they don't even print the things until you pay the release fee. That way they would save on actually having to have a storage space. Do they actually have pictures of their storage area?

George Condo 🇺🇸 New Print Release • Print For Sale, by nobokov on Feb 16, 2024 19:29:31 GMT 1, Be careful buying prints thinking that a gold mine lays ahead. This AA print sold for 50% off retail today on Phillips. This is a perfect example of publishers charging wayyyyy too much for a print edition to begin with. Scott Khan is a lovely artist, but is very “new” (even though he’s been painting forever) and has only been selling on the secondary market for the last couple of years. I don’t think he has a works that have sold for $8M either? The likes of Condo and Wood are a different breed compared to someone like Scott Kahn. I don't know. Maybe I'm the only one, but I wonder if Condo is a flavor of the moment hype artist like a KAWS or Murakami. In fashion for just a time.
Or will he be cemented as the next evolution of Picasso. A lot of his work definitely looks beautiful in hopes and has a cool factor at the moment. I wonder when that freshness will fade though. Even Picasso's work looks incredibly dated now. Does anyone else feel this way?

Your latest Art Purchase?, by nobokov on Feb 14, 2024 20:20:28 GMT 1, Austyn Weiner recently released a lovely book and did 26 special edition copies, each with a unique painting on the cover. Very happy with the one I purchased! postimg.cc/DWdLpKL7Well, in an interesting turn of events, I'm looking to sell this if anyone is interested. Please DM me if you'd like to see more photos and/or discuss price. Thanks! What an interesting turn of events indeed. I'm also looking to sell that same book if anyone is interested. Did we both just get Rybolovleved?

Damien Hirst Secret Garden Painting Print release, by nobokov on Feb 14, 2024 20:16:16 GMT 1, It's a funny thing with timed editions. You can release a picture of a turd as a timed edition which would result in very few people buying it, and those buying it would be happy thinking that they have rare artwork. But at the same time the people who didn't buy it would be happy that they didn't spend money on a picture of a turd. I think if you buy it because you like it and want to enjoy it on your wall, then whatever the image you probably would want the lowest edition possible all else considered. Or you just wouldn't care about the edition size. That's the problem with you people, all you think about when you see releases is "can I make money on it? ". Which is why there's a lot of bitterness around. As you've all been destroyed in the last couple of years and it's only getting worse. You people? "Now don't be racist, old sport."
I think my post emphasized on how ugly the images are and not the boodles of cash to be had.

Joakim Ojanen 🇸🇪 Glass Sculpture • New Print Release , by nobokov on Feb 13, 2024 0:59:13 GMT 1, It’s not a post for asking your taste or what do you think about the sculpture if you find it hideous you should contact avant Arte or the artist to explain your point but I think that your frustration will not bring you nowhere…. please don’t polluate sale post Just wondering why you even bought it in the first place.

Joakim Ojanen 🇸🇪 Glass Sculpture • New Print Release , by nobokov on Feb 11, 2024 16:27:20 GMT 1, No space and I need to sell now. What kind of question is this ? 🤦🏻♂️ I mean you gotta admit it's pretty hideous or else you would've made room to display it, right? Who would buy something with the intention of displaying without busting out a ruler first?

TIMED EDITIONS..., by nobokov on Feb 10, 2024 17:59:42 GMT 1, Was it actually a ‘timed edition’ with a set start and end date. When I saw it it just said open edition with no defined timescale. Think they stated sold out once they reached the practical limit t9 screen print and get out in the post. Was never going to be numbered either - just signed. Could be wrong on this but that was my understanding? I missed out anyway! Hmmed and Haaad for too long and it was sold out just before I decided to buy. Charity print too - so fair play to him….. Actually now looking at the posts, I'm not quite sure if there was some editing or not. Now the initial post says open edition, but another post says that they will close the sale on 2/4. My mistake if it was always intended as an open edition.

George Condo 🇺🇸 New Print Release • Print For Sale, by nobokov on Feb 10, 2024 17:55:52 GMT 1, Imagine having to grovel and disclose your personal belongings in order to purchase a print. You’re kidding yourself - anyone who has a “collection” loves to show it and talk about it. If there is a Condo print at the end of the brag, all the better! I think you might be generalizing. I might be as well, as I think there are plenty of collectors who value privacy.

TIMED EDITIONS..., by nobokov on Feb 10, 2024 17:53:57 GMT 1, That's very poor form imho Last week Stanley Donwood had an inexpensive signed but unnumbered charity timed edition that ended with around 250 orders, but they ended up printing around 500 instead and deleted the post saying how many were ordered. I understand it likely was to help out those who missed the ordering window and commented. Thoughts? I can see how collectors wouldn't like it, but I can also understand how harmless it would be from the artist's side. It's for charity and this maximizes the charitable contribution. It's not numbered, so no one really knows the true edition size anyway.
You would think an open edition would be a more sensible option than timed, just to consider the "art collectors."
