PRICE UPDATE! For sale: Noir, STIK, Paul Insect BAST, by disappointed on Mar 15, 2024 12:14:37 GMT 1, That’s some heavy prices there for your basts It is so difficult to price Bast. Where else are you buying Bast at cheaper prices?
I have sold a couple of much larger, unique, or very low edition BAST works for less (often considerably less) than the prices being asked here for relatively common multiples. The question should be where are you buying these BAST pieces at those prices?
Without wishing to diss a sales thread too much these are indeed very heavy prices.
Best of luck to the OP though.

Small Rime and ESPO originals, Parra vase FS, by disappointed on Dec 21, 2023 17:58:36 GMT 1, This forum software really is in need of some under the hood work as, being many so many generations behind the latest software, it is glitchy as hell. Photos didn't upload in the original post so I'll try again:
EDIT: colour tone is weird. The piece is black on white not black on manky green-white.
Finally, a lovely Parra vase titled 'Running In Circles'. Edition of 200, this is a cream coloured porcelain vase with a running dog graphic. Made in collaboration with Case Studyo. This is in excellent, as shipped condition and complete with original box albeit with a small tear on the opening tab if that sort of thing bothers anyone (and it really should not).
£650 plus shipping which is a decent amount cheaper than anywhere I can find it online.

Small Rime and ESPO originals, Parra vase FS, by disappointed on Dec 21, 2023 17:45:05 GMT 1, First up a couple of small works by two absolute legends.
A small but perfectly formed piece by RIME. Mixed media (predominantly marker pen & spray paint) on paper. Signed and date on front. It's, off the top of my head, about A4 size (will confirm exact dimensions later).
Asking £350 plus postage.
RIME: "]https://ibb.co/MD4gvXY]
Fine little Steve 'ESPO' Powers piece executed in marker pen on metal from back in the day when, IIRC, he was making of these small stream of consciousness pieces per day for a short while. Great example of his style.
The pencil laying out under the finished lettering can be made out in places, as can a word that was dropped from the final composition, so there's a little bit of process preservation.
£650 plus postage.

BAST 'Marilyn' unique print and poss Miaz Brothers original, by disappointed on Dec 17, 2023 12:17:33 GMT 1, Absolutely love this. I have no idea what a sensible offer would look like, so decided on "more than I can afford" Good luck with the sale OP!
It'd be in the thousands rather than the hundreds but, really, that comment was aimed more at deterring the tyre kickers and time wasters.

BAST 'Marilyn' unique print and poss Miaz Brothers original, by disappointed on Dec 17, 2023 12:15:01 GMT 1, Amazing! Get it up on the wall.... though you'd need a double sided frame job I guess??? It is on the wall, and has been for 16 years.
I took the photos earlier this year when reframing it - I'd completely forgotten the Marylin was on the reverse.
The back of the new frame is easily opened so I can flip the image around whenever it suits.
Genuinely surprised you'd hang it with the Thug reverse as the display side as, great though that image is, it seems more like an added bonus to the Marilyn.
A flippable frame seems like an excellent solution.

BAST 'Marilyn' unique print and poss Miaz Brothers original, by disappointed on Dec 16, 2023 10:37:15 GMT 1, Wonderful old piece from Bast. It is called "Marilyn / POW Thug Remix". These 2 sided prints were called Remixes and each was pretty much an original. Maybe there are 4 different Remixes. There were few similar versions like this done on the prints from POW with Thug or Molotov on one side and then various images of Marilyn (called Marilyn, Aeroport Papier, Papier) on the other. I think he did those later in NYC and then they were sold through Faile site. As for the image of Marilyn, he used it in these Remixes but also on its own. I've seen pieces in black or red, even two Marylins, always with some kind of hand finishing. You're right though, there are not many pieces in existence with this image. Fantastic.
Really appreciate the info. Of course, now I’d love to see all the variants as well as the other ‘remix’ pieces.
Thanks.

BAST 'Marilyn' unique print and poss Miaz Brothers original, by disappointed on Dec 15, 2023 18:26:30 GMT 1, Spring cleaning here so any interest in a rare BAST image from 2006?
I know of the 'Drink Balentine' unique variant that is/was owned by a member of this forum but, other than that, I've only seen him use the image on the streets and I think as a component of larger canvasses. It'd be interesting to see further examples of the image if anyone has them?
Screened on the back of a POW 'Thug' print on 50cm x 70cms paper. Very good condition, albeit with a minor amount of studio staining along the base of the print - I'd have preferred a bit more scuzz to be honest but a little is better than none. Either way, I reckon it'll hang pretty well next to any Warhol 'Marilyn' canvases anyone might have lying around .
IIRC I traded this (a very long time ago) with someone very reliable and, presumably, it was created whilst BAST was visiting London.
Sensible offers please.
I also have a very large Miaz Brothers canvas from their Anti-Matter series if anyone is looking for a subtle yet striking, and a tad spooky, image from them.
I simply do not have anything like the space it needs to work, in terms of actual wallspace but also the distance away from the wall needed to really appreciate the effect. I have a pretty small image that Lazarides mailed me when I was buying it that I can upload if there is any interest. Detailed pics of the actual work would take a little longer as it is in storage. It's off the stretcher so shipping would be slightly easier.

Bast FRAMED, by disappointed on Nov 17, 2023 14:11:08 GMT 1,
Yep, it's a beauty from back when he was knocking them out for fun.
Shame it is way too big for me to hang as it deserves more attention, but it's now back in storage. If there is an upside, it may be that only looking at it very rarely makes it more of a special treat than daily exposure might. That's what I'm telling myself anyway...

Bast FRAMED, by disappointed on Nov 5, 2023 12:31:19 GMT 1, Not framed but here are a couple of pics of a fine, unique, ‘Werewolf Milano’ from back in the day.
Paper is a little knocked about in places but that’s how it left the studio. The apparent ‘ripples’ aren’t, they are just reflections through textured glass. Pretty big at, I guess, 40” x 30” and very wild.
No idea where I picked this up as I had totally forgotten about it until rediscovering it when having a tidy up a while back Found a fine Marilyn too so that was nice.
Also, has this thread been moved as I’m sure it used to be more prominent? I can’t keep up with the endless fiddling and tweaking of sub forums here which make it a constant hassle to find anything.

TOX original on tube map., by disappointed on Nov 1, 2023 15:19:54 GMT 1, Any interest in a unique TOX piece?
Proper all city representation with hundreds of TOX13's written over a London Underground map. The map size is about 90cms x 60cms give or take and it is executed in what appear to felt tip pens. Framed as supplied by the gallery but the frame is pretty nondescript and, having had a good look at again when taking these photos, the piece would really pop if the frame were sprayed Central Line red or something similarly bold. It has never been hung in direct light so there are no light related condition issues.
I bought this from the Pure Evil gallery in Shoreditch on a walk in one afternoon ten years ago and, IIRC, took it away with me the same day. Which was nice.
It's a very rare original work by him so, please, serious offers only. It is framed so shipping will need to be factored in.
Located in the UK and, as such, a UK buyer would be preferred. Overseas would be doable but at buyer's risk and expense but I suspect this is of more UK centric interest anyway.
Apologies for the photo quality - the light was a bit dim when taking them.
Thanks.

Conor Harrington ‘The City That I’m Claiming.’ , by disappointed on Sept 6, 2023 18:27:18 GMT 1, Any interest in a very fine Harrington drawing?
Titled ‘The City I’m Claiming’, from 2009, executed in pencil on A3 sketchbook page (coffee drop was as the piece left the artist/gallery!). Very nicely framed using Tru Vue non-reflective glass.
Have my original purchase invoice from Lazarides.
£3.5k plus shipping. UK sale preferred due to the glazing but I’m sure I could work something out for overseas shipping, albeit at buyers risk…

Banksy • Cut & Run Posters, by disappointed on Jul 31, 2023 18:11:32 GMT 1, You can buy now and collect when visiting the gallery. Collection is not from GoMA.
It's close enough and surely better than worrying about them selling out before visiting. That said, I would hope/expect they have kept enough stock back at GOMA to cater for all in person visitors...

Graffik Gallery selling Fake Invaders , by disappointed on Jun 10, 2023 21:10:05 GMT 1, Setting aside that buying/selling/trading work removed form street is poor form I am quite surprised, if the images in the first post are of the purchased pieces, that anyone might think they had been removed from a wall in the first place.
That all the tiles are in perfect condition, with no sign of chipping from their removal, no traces of the adhesive agent, etc, etc should have been a real red flag. I have no idea what they were sold at i.e. if they were suspiciously cheap, or stupidly overpriced, but, really, the OP walked into this one.

Bast POW Popeye and Mickey, by disappointed on Jun 5, 2023 18:16:02 GMT 1, That was a great price for whoever got that one at that price. London Gallery sold one for a little less than that about a month ago. I know the buyer who purchased it quite well from the states.
Which gallery was this?
Once identified we can call in the police as, if they actually did sell your mate a Popeye for $5000, they have literally mugged and robbed him.
Back on topic, a Popeye from the edition of nine with black painted backgrounds sold for £2k in December so consider that an actual benchmark. Therefore, back in the real world, around £750 for the regular edition seems about right.

Petition: Add Bäst to top navigation , by disappointed on May 15, 2023 21:17:42 GMT 1, The artists who have their own profile at the top of the forum are a weird snapshot of specific taste/influence at quite a specific time. That Miss Bugs who, being very kind, are a very poor mans PINS, are up there yet their inspiration isn't is jarringly odd. See also Martin Watson and his hapless, dreary, recycling of every singe 'urban art' trope in a style that would barely satisfy being described as decorative. It's like a link to an IKEA 'urban art wall decoration' shop. Hirst is another notably weird inclusion but I guess his increasingly trite editions sell well and, bottom line, are flippable which gives him a certain sort of profile. Could be worse - the old profile strip at the top use to have Cartrain on it! Pins and Bäst should certainly be on there though. Switching them in for Martin Whatson seems likely a fairly easy decision… Ha, yeah!
I had, very happily, forgotten all about the nonsense that cartrain was putting out. The scene back then really did allow for an awful lot of grifting chancers to ride coattails into making a few quid.

BAST, AIKO, Jonathan Yeo , by disappointed on May 7, 2023 14:05:52 GMT 1, Any interest in a small, rather cheeky, BAST original.
As seen below, it is 20cms x 14.5cms and consists of collaged elements (including a nod to his day job) with spraypaint, punched holes, etc and is signed and dated on the (lovely gold painted) reverse.
Not a clue as to value so will open to offers. I'll leave it open for a week or so and the highest can have it.
UK based so prefer UK buyer as overseas is a bit of a hassle but can sort if required (at buyer's expense/risk)...
EDIT: found a few other things in a folder that I will never get round to hanging so these are also available:
Tidy little Aiko Bushwick Bunny original. Stencil, spraypaint, coffee, acrylic, etc, on unstretched canvas from a varied edition of eight, so a sort of HPM I guess. 43cms x 30cms give or take.
Beyond The Streets had a print edition on paper priced at $700 for an edition of nine although theirs was larger (but on paper and considerably 'busier') so I guess offers over £500 (plus shipping)? Faile's imagery dipped a lot for a fair few years after Aiko split from them although, to be fair, they have recovered a fair bit since and this bunny is a very nice example of the style she brought to the collective.
Finally, a nice Jonathan Yeo original in a very framable size from his excellent porn collage series.
Collage on very roughly torn, very textured, 30cms x 30cms paper from a small series of similar works released by Laz/The Outsiders. Signed on the front and, for good measure, signed and dated on the reverse. The lumps are wobbles in the paper are as it came and part of the process as, IIRC, it is hand made and hand torn paper.
The leaves are a little NSFW so be wary if clicking on the image. That's a shadow across the lower right corner in the daylight photo BTW. The indoor photos are slightly weird as my phone got really into recording the texture of the paper:
No clue as to value so, sorry, serious offers.

The leaves are a little NSFW so be wary if clicking on the image. That's a shadow across the lower right corner in the daylight photo BTW. The indoor photos are slightly weird as my phone got really into recording the texture of the paper: No clue as to value so, sorry, serious offers.
