old auction catalogue, by Winter on Mar 11, 2020 17:22:52 GMT 1, I love looking through old auction catalogues although it can be quite sickening. I've got the Sothebys one with the green Banksy Mona Lisa from 2006 which was quite an early one to feature Banksy on the cover.

Sotheby's Contemporary Curated 6th March 2020, by Winter on Mar 9, 2020 11:43:36 GMT 1, Low price on the Jonas Wood Landscape pot. That was just a low priced sketch. Some of the other items were much worse. Sotheby's must still be licking their wounds after the huge disappointment of Hockney's Splash.

Kaws NGV - COMPANIONSHIP IN THE AGE OF LONELINESS, by Winter on Mar 7, 2020 12:38:11 GMT 1, Wondering if anyone could help me understand a VAT invoice I’ve just received for this from TNT. Amount is £187.36 (inc. handling charge) against a value of £3,334.28. It’s listed on the forms as a catalogue, which are rated zero for VAT, I believe. Even so, £167.36 is 5% of the total. Anyone understand how they arrive at that? It’s not a huge charge given the value, so I’m not that concerned about it. Just trying to understand it.
I got the same.

Jonas Wood • Bromeliad Print, by Winter on Mar 7, 2020 0:56:16 GMT 1, I have the solution .. just chop the text bit off. In fact you could always frame BROMELIAD separately
Why not just buy art you actually like instead of butchering it. Stupid comment of the year and it’s only March.

The Connor Brothers 🇬🇧 Mike Snelle & James Golding, by Winter on Mar 4, 2020 20:05:06 GMT 1, 3 threads looking for Connor Bros pieces? Are you one of the Connor Bros trying to raise your profile? I don’t think there’s any shortage of works out there. It was just announced that they're ending the Pulp Fiction series, so possibly someone looking to hoover them up in the hope they'll suddenly be worth more. I wonder how many different variations are available now. Must be hundreds. Pulp Fiction series? Never heard of it.

Harland Miller’s Largest Solo Exhibition 14th Feb, by Winter on Feb 24, 2020 20:45:58 GMT 1, You realize that 90 percent of the members here are flippers. At least that. You also have to take into account the lurkers who hover in the background, pick up all the info from this forum then sell the art via ebay. Their ebay user names usually have the word 'art' in them. Basically they're ticket touts who take and offer nothing back. If this forum vanished they would pretty much lose their livlihoods.

Harland Miller’s Largest Solo Exhibition 14th Feb, by Winter on Feb 24, 2020 17:45:00 GMT 1, I think this would be my guess, coupled with the mis information given earlier on by the workers until they were actually sold out. If it was common knowledge they were going to be /200 earlier on or close to that I imagine flippers would've made more of an effort to go and the stock would've been eaten up by flippers rather than real fans. So is it officially an edition of 200, or is this just a guess?
No, there will be more. Lots more.

Harland Miller’s Largest Solo Exhibition 14th Feb, by Winter on Feb 24, 2020 16:39:59 GMT 1, Sounds like they’re all very disjointed- I heard from someone who spoke to them that they’re printing more that will be available for the duration of the show. This would make sense as they generate money for the venue and keep visitors happy. I wonder if the misinformation on here is by people trying to sell them on eBay to make them seem rarer than they are.

Harland Miller’s Largest Solo Exhibition 14th Feb, by Winter on Feb 22, 2020 15:14:45 GMT 1, I can’t imagine they’d stop production mid show. eBay ones have pretty much all sold today I’m guessing based on the information shared on this thread.
