Jose Parla • The Founders, by willamsa on Oct 2, 2021 10:39:54 GMT 1, Congratulations all those who purchased - Its a great looking print, will have a broad appeal and I would guess many will make the wall rather then stored away.
How long before the posts from people wishing they had pulled the trigger, asking if anyone has ordered an extra one they don’t want ?

Damien Hirst Signed Coca Cola Can, by willamsa on Apr 22, 2021 15:50:20 GMT 1, I cant believe people are arguing over signatures on the bottom of coke cans. Damien must be laughing his head off. To be fair I think Damien has been laughing his head off since 1991 when he sold a dead shark for millions

Forum Auctions • Banksy Marketplace 🇬🇧, by willamsa on Oct 28, 2020 17:43:25 GMT 1, Here’s the full conditions report
yes “the trimming process” would be my concern (I presume this was done manually by one of the owners of the print - which I don’t think is recommended !
“Small stain to upper left corner; section of paper loss to lower extreme edge, most likely due to the trimming process; soft ripples to black background, inherent to the creation of the work. Sheet is loose. Unframed“

Forum Auctions • Banksy Marketplace 🇬🇧, by willamsa on Oct 28, 2020 17:02:31 GMT 1, Condition report mentions soft ripples to black background ‘inherent to the creation of the work’ - I think this was common on this print, not sure if many people have super flat Pulp fictions ?
Also noticed it’s doesn’t have a POW stamp which again I think was common on this print

Keith Haring Galerie Watari Poster For Sale, by willamsa on Oct 17, 2020 1:35:19 GMT 1, I ordered one at the end of September and it was delivered today (in uk)
Website said sold out - I just emailed the onSunday Email asked in if they had any left, they got back to me within a few hours, asked for address and then sent an invoice by email
It was at the weekend so maybe they have more time then ?

Pest Control COA • Banksy Print Authentication, by willamsa on Aug 3, 2020 19:08:19 GMT 1, Those looking for a timeline. . . mine took less than 6 months (applied in Feb 2020, received Coa today 3rd Aug 2020)
Authentication email came through in 3 month and had to wait for new COA - so probably would have got cert in 3 months without the redesign delay
mine may have been straightforward as I was original buyer from POW with original email, etc

Is Banksy Jamie Hewlett?, by willamsa on Apr 12, 2018 22:43:05 GMT 1, He works in different media, and obviously sketches look different to paintings, and stencils are different again, and sculptures are collaborations, but they still all have a similar style. None of which look anything like Jamie Hewlett's style. I disagree. There is a huge difference between early banksy and late banksy. It's not just a medium thing. What ? so Banksy isn't Banksy ?

POW CLOSING DOWN - SALE ENDS 31ST DECEMBER 2017, by willamsa on Oct 28, 2017 23:32:52 GMT 1, His bio on the site.... TitiFreak is a Brazilian artist of Japanese heritage based in São Paulo. “Titi” (pronounced Tee-chee) is a family nickname – the “Freak” part incidentally comes from his skills as a Brazilian yoyo champion. I can vouch for his yoyo skills - saw him crack out some moves at Pure Evils gallery a few years back

Andy Warhol 🇺🇸 Real or Fake? • Sunday B. Morning Print, by willamsa on Oct 8, 2017 0:25:49 GMT 1, You can still pick up a banksy canvas for 100k but no chance of a Warhol canvas - or 100k would buy you and print that's out there
Having said that if you shop wisely you could pick up a whole (or good portion) of a portfolio of Warhol prints for 100k - which would look amazing
From an investment perspective more upside with banksy but also more risk (can still produce works, potential unfavourable revelations about banksy) some potential downside with Warhol (more based on potential economic woes than artist driven - which would also impact Banksy)
So decision will depend on your taste (artist or specific work), risk appetite and motivation (investment or enjoyment)

Mayweather McGregor, 26th August, by willamsa on Aug 26, 2017 22:13:54 GMT 1, I'm with the 'trilogy' theorists - This is the tease for the next fight
I give McGregor a 2% chance of winning, and if it doesn't come in first round or so he'll hang on as long as he can, and maybe there will be some controversy leaving the result in question (McGregor getting disqualified . . .)
Just enough to make the people want more
(No idea really, however sure with this much money in play this will run and run)

Who can explain Micallefs market, by willamsa on Jul 13, 2017 23:20:01 GMT 1, Micallef's biggest issue is that his recent work isn't as good (imho) as his early eyestorm editions- I agree super talented, and hope that Bram is right and his best work is ahead of him
I have most of the eyestorm prints - 21st CL and Tokyo girl on my walls now - and l enjoy them everyday
