STIK Solo Show - 6th Oct 2011, by shower on Oct 6, 2011 16:11:48 GMT 1, I bought my brown "Single Mum" print FRAMED (A/P edition of 3) at Subway Gallery for £220 in March this year... buying the same brown "Lovers" today costs £375, that is +70% increase in 6 months... either I've got myself a good bargain 6 months ago or today's price seems a bit inflated indeed...
Exactly, the inflation in prices a bit of a joke!
But the work released by Squarity and at Subway Gallery is/was at affordable prices. So you can put these new prices down to Graffik trying to over hype the work to "collectors" who do not know much about street art...
"Stik" work is highly collectible and savvy buyers will relish the opportunity to buy first hand!
That sentence was in their press release. They are having a laugh. They are obviously not a gallery interested in the art, its all about the money to them!

STIK Solo Show - 6th Oct 2011, by shower on Oct 6, 2011 15:53:47 GMT 1, Again, Graffik Gallery comes up trumps! Completely stupid prices combined with the gallery's typically awful, over hyped marketing strategy.

T.WAT Solo Show on 15th September 2011, by shower on Aug 26, 2011 11:23:42 GMT 1, Pretty much the funniest thing I have ever read. So many amazing one liners based around obtuse statements to try to entice 'clients' to splash their cash around!

Mysterious Al 🇬🇧 New Print Release • Street Art, by shower on Jul 30, 2011 13:12:36 GMT 1, Each of the Amy prints are editions of 5, thats 25 prints in total. And Im pretty sure I saw a few red dots at the show, plus they were on Stolenspace's website with likely sales back in April.
Some galleries often take prints offline once they are down to the last couple available and keep them instore. So if this was the case and the gallery added them online after Amy passed away then thats not cool - remember, Al doesnt run the gallery.
But Im amazed that anyone is accusing Al of promoting his prints when there were likely to only be a handful still available. It's not as if its a large edition that didnt sell, its not as if they are all originals and hes likely to be making a fair bit of cash. Its a couple of prints that he will only receive 50% of the fee someone pays.
And regarding the promotion of his 'image' in general, its not as if hes been plastering pics of his 'stunt' all round the internet. In fact ive not seen many at all, apart from in one news article.
Il keep my money on his piece outside her pad as being a genuine tribute. You gotta remember she had a killer voice and a fair few fans!

Mysterious Al 🇬🇧 New Print Release • Street Art, by shower on Jul 30, 2011 10:51:17 GMT 1, So leaving the piece outside her pad counts as promotion?! Really? And I'm pretty sure I saw those prints on the Stolenspace website in April.
I personally don't see a problem at all. He's still got my respect.

Stik Plaques, by shower on Jul 26, 2011 12:46:27 GMT 1, Ryan, maybe for the next release you should take pictures of the back of each one Stik signs. There is likely to be slight differences between them so you could maybe tell which is on ebay even without seeing the number. Once you know you have the details of the buyer you can black list them from future releases.
Also you could do what another gallery I know did once - After working out the details of the a guy who was flipping a print on ebay, the gallery owner emailed him stating that they werent too happy as its taking the piss a bit and so they were willing to give a full refund for the piece with no future questions asked. Then they added that if he continued to flip the print he would be blacklisted and his details may find their way onto other blacklists for other galleries, including POW. Galleries do talk you know!
...And guess what, he went for the full refund!
Anyway, great work with the release, nice pieces and good prices. Keep it up!

Street Art Show with Vintage Arcade Machines, by shower on Jul 19, 2011 18:58:45 GMT 1, When has Sweet Toof ever done anything with Graffik? Did I completely miss it or something?
Or did I read it wrong and you have got him on board for this project already? Would be a bit of a coup.

Best Of British Urban Art: 17th June - 1st July, by shower on Jun 17, 2011 13:17:05 GMT 1, I was going to say is this Graffik Gallery as it sounds like them, then I checked my junk emails and I had the email about it saying...
CLPROJECTS in partnership with Graffik Gallery, host
“BEST OF BRITISH URBAN ART”
a high profile group exhibition featuring: Dan Baldwin Drew & Eli Goldie Max Wiedemann Jessica Svensson Will Tuck Jewel and selected works by Banksy.
I like how in the email the line "and selected works by Banksy" was in bold implying that you should go because of a few of his prints rather than any of the other work!
