Faile two new prints, by twist65 on Dec 13, 2012 14:47:22 GMT 1, We should set up a poll asking to state (if you scored a Faile) are based in America or the UK......I do believe the lagging times in the website getting updated here to there has made the difference. as a net admin i would agree with that theory
it's a bunfight, some you win some you lose, i've come up empty handed in too many releases to mention... But I'm in the UK and didn't do too badly here - just missed Launch but got a sneek peek link, so scored Heartbreak with that and was fastest fingers first on Saved (copy and pasted my email add to save time and got a receipt at 5.00). Did try going for another Heartbreak but the system was overloaded by then, maybe I was being a bit greedy there but would have used it as a trade against a Launch to complete the set.

Faile two new prints, by twist65 on Dec 12, 2012 18:49:01 GMT 1, I dunno you know, lots of people had to try several times to get that confirmation through as the site was totalled - 17:05 & below you gotta be hopeful i reckon at least i am. Bagged tickets for the Ashes (day 1 & 4 @ The Oval) today as well so hoping that 12-12-12 is a lucky one for me on 2 fronts
i'll swap you my heartbreak for day 1 at the oval! =]

Faile two new prints, by twist65 on Dec 12, 2012 15:32:49 GMT 1, to be fair I think most of the discussion was people were beefing about the website and not getting full refunds, plus debating how the sneak peek list would all pan out.. totally agree with you re Faile looking after all price points though

Faile two new prints, by twist65 on Dec 12, 2012 12:54:35 GMT 1, yup I like this system too. I reckon each time they change the cart system on the site they will think they've cracked it, then a release drops and it gets found out.. I suppose they can only go on what their web developers tell them, and they're certainly not the only ones who struggle with high demand releases. I actually like SOS system the best - its completely rubbish, but thats part of the fun!!

Faile two new prints, by twist65 on Dec 11, 2012 11:24:45 GMT 1, hopefully the site can cope with these 2 releases and there's none of the refund problems, then I assume from March onwards they'll be eds of 150 again. I think it's the navy blue on the Saved thats putting me off that one a bit, wonder if that background colour changes thru the edition or just the colours on top?

Black Rat - Museum of Curiosity, by twist65 on Dec 5, 2012 18:34:32 GMT 1, It was clear as day from the outset that this was a collab between Goldings lot and BRP, as Saint pointed out.
It was this fact, posted from the press release/emailer not speculation, that got everyone mentioning JGs previous misdemeanors, in dismay that such a well respected gallery/individual would get into bed with such shady types. Understand there are previous threads about all that but people thinking of attending/buying from this show shouldn't be censored from the facts. This thread could potentially prevent other people having a similar bad experience.

Black Rat - Museum of Curiosity, by twist65 on Dec 5, 2012 16:55:46 GMT 1, Personally I think its very important for people to know about a new silent partner with a seriously dodgy track record that BRP may have had for this project - what if I'd put down a hefty deposit on a piece in there? Would certainly think twice about that if I knew James Golding was involved, despite BRPs excellent reputation.
And I don't think anyone's claiming BRP were involved in any of JG's previous murkiness, just highlighting the new connection to people who may be considering spending money at this show, or who are still looking for compensation from JG.
If "cleaning up" the thread was for the purpose of hiding JGs involvement with this project - for fear of BRPs reputation being damaged by the association being widely known, then that is the only misleading thing I can see with this thread!

THE CHRISTMAS GHETTO - POW - LAZARIDES + OTHERS, by twist65 on Dec 4, 2012 11:45:48 GMT 1, that's not a lot of output when you see it like that, but for me I prefer POW with less releases and keeping the bar high, they've released some rubbish before now and while I applaud them supporting new or lesser known artists I'm quite happy with that little lot.
I'm sure a lot gets produced/sold behind the scenes and online print sales is just one aspect of their business, so difficult to assess whether its been a good year for them (I'm sure it has been), but for their customers I would say quality over quantity. Agree with Freerange, PINS my print of the year, and while not for me the Fridriks looked awesome.
