Penny - amazing stencilist, by F*X on Feb 14, 2011 13:38:36 GMT 1, I love the naked women on cash stencils the best. Yeah, someone posted a pic of one of the pieces w/6-8 $s on plywood w/the naked woman stencil on top in the "Show us your latest art buy" section (it was a few months back...just looked and couldn't find it)...really nice!
That was me I purchased the piece at the Inhuman show before Xmas the detail is fantastic. He is a very talented guy the work that gos into his stencils is incredible.
This is a stock image of the piece. titled Lexine Lost, I will post an actual photo when I have one. The work is 12 one dollar bills pasted on ply with a stencil over the top.

Your latest Art Purchase?, by F*X on Dec 22, 2010 14:00:09 GMT 1, Thanks Coach for pointing out photobucket believe it violates there terms of use. I have reposted using flickr lets see how long this lasts. that's ok. How big is this piece? I saw he did small ones on single bills. Is this on bills stuck together, or canvass? It looks really special, and the girl is just beautiful. Right up my street this piece is. And laughable that it is considered a violation of terms imo. c
The piece is 665mm x 260mm and is one dollar bills pasted to a plywood board with spray painted stencils applied over the top.
By the way is called Lexine Lost

Banksy • Choose Your Weapon Print, by F*X on Dec 22, 2010 12:02:28 GMT 1, he's deleted the pic of the number on his listing. I think this deserves to be quoted. I agree with pez number doesn't look quite right. Not quite the same without the bind stamp, wonder what's the reasoning behind that? 67

Your latest Art Purchase?, by F*X on Dec 21, 2010 16:28:54 GMT 1, Very stoked about this early XMas present from Mr Walker...I wanted my wife to have something so she could reflect upon what it was like when we only had our son (baby girl coming in the next few weeks).
What a fantastic piece and what a great Xmas present.

Banksy • Choose Your Weapon Print, by F*X on Dec 12, 2010 13:08:32 GMT 1, I know opinions are like a**holes. But I am going to give mine anyway, "opinion" that is before some smart Alec jumps in.
Shop releases could still continue with a few alterations.
As last years queue had a party feel and so did the initial queue on Berwick street this year, It would be such a shame to see this not happen again.
Issue more timely information - official statements saying the print will not be issued from here, today, tomorrow will stop speculative queue's forming as an information void only promotes speculation and panic.
Make all POW buyers register beforehand. Registration should be name, address with proof eg utility bill etc, credit card details.
No cash sales.
No one under 16 for safety.
Issue tickets to the queue as early as possible with a further ticket swap early on release morning similar to last year's procedure.
Provide security throughout the night.
Use barriers to separate queue from the public. For public read queue jumpers and pissed idiots.
At point of sale issue receipt and small card similar to the type issued to us yesterday with a small image of the print and your allocated print number.
Make people come back after a set period to collect the print in person or supply mailing address which must match your registration details.
The period between the queue and the print collection/mailing will give POW time to check all details are in order. Any deviations from supplied info can then be dealt with and people's card refunded and the print resold by POW. Any flipping in this time can resolved in the same way. The T & C's for the sale of the print could state the above and eliminate any challenges.
If points like this were considered we could all queue in a safe, friendly and fair manner and the gallery could retain the kudos of having large queue's form for their merchandise.
If West End stores can successfully arrange the launch of new gaming products / sales with large queue's forming so can POW.
I feel better now that I've got that off my chest. And I'm braced for you horrible lot to shoot me down in flames! Please be gentle I'm still recovering. I'm not as young as I used to be.
